Thogden is spot on. I don't think people give City enough credit while they consistently perform at the highest level in three different competition. Whereas Arsenal had only one game to worry about. They well and truly bottled it and no way they are beating City at the Etihad.

As an Arsenal fan, I agree with you, I had told some of my friends that we wouldn’t win the league and the times where we were winning the league, they said that we would so I had a bit belief but I was still being optimistic and realistic after last season where we missed out on top 4 to spurs (so embarrassing) so I’m not angry that we are dropping points because I knew that it would happen so I was just waiting for it happen, tbh I thought we would start dropping pints around February/March but we didn’t but now we are. Man City do have a lot of experience in winning this title, they’ve won it 4 times so they know how to win and they have the mentality as well whereas we are one of the youngest squads in the league and some of our players have no experience in winning this league except from Zinny and Gabi Jesus who won it at Man City

Last week City finished the game pretty early at 3-0 vs Leicester which gave Pep a chance to try out players in certain positions ready for Sheffield, while they played keep ball. He tried Gomez playing inverted, and wanted to see if Phillips was ready to start over Gundogan, He tried Palmer at CAM and took Grealish and Haaland off. This was in a premiership game (against a struggling side though, but it’s Leicester) The team is so good that Pep can take these kinds of risks. Arsenal made Southampton look good. That’s the difference

The Arsenal attack have in general done their job in the 3 last games by scoring 7 goals, but that doesn't help much when the defence, included the goalkeeper, have been gifting the other teams 7 goals in those 3 last games at the same time. All the players behind Odegaard have not played well at all the 3 last games, but I think Odegaard and the other players in front of him have been decent in those 3 games. They have wasted some good chances, but 7 goals in those 3 games should still be enough to win those 3 games. I think by far the most is to be blamed on the defence and bad in game management from Arteta. It is to stupid from Arsenal fans to blame it on Jesus, Saka, Odegaard or another attacker that they didn't score a 4th goal to win the game against Southampton. Gifting 3 goals to Southampton has all the blame for the draw and loss of 2 points.

Realistically the league is gone for arsenal because they got city Brighton and Newcastle waiting for them and getting 3 points in each of those games will be difficult ... unfortunately for arsenal they are in premier league you always have to keep on winning because there’s always a club which is Manchester city coming for you once you lose a little bit of the grip city will hunt you down ... ik there’s been William saliba injury that a lot of ppl are blaming on but I just think arsenal lost their way since the Liverpool game and I think it was more of a psychological issues than teams issue ... Arteta is also got to be blamed with his selection and substitution specially yesterday I felt like there were some players like Jorginho who is a senior lad could have managed the tempo of the game and guide arsenal specifically when you were 2:1 down at half time ...and i feel like if arsenal did give Jorginho more minutes against livpool west ham and Southampton arsenal maybe could have hold on?

I think this season is the season Arsenal had/have their chance to win the title. I very much doubt they will do as well next season and the seasons after that. The competition from Liverpool, Chelsea, United, Newcastle and maybe even Brighton will be much harder next season.
