We just need another midfielder and striker and we sorted next season Defence we have Jurrien, Saliba, Ben White, Gabrielle Kiwior Tomiyasu if Zinchenko gets sold possibly need another defender but I think that’s plenty of depth. In midfield if Partey stays we only need another CM Jorghinho ESR and Viera all cover players adding to many will give less playing time to the others. If we do get another midfielder he would have to be one of the top best midfielders it has potential to be. Striker must be elite to start and Havertz will be his sub Jesus as rotation

Good take, I will however challenge you on the Havertz thing. I think he looks a like a great structure. His touch is better than Halaand, only Isak can be him at that. His movement in box and holding onto has improved tremendously. He not afraid to aim at the goal any more, he shots when possible, and I see a competitive spirit in him(for instance shoving Maddison and the Porto coach). If he can improve on his finishing by 30%, he wins that golden boot next year. He also defends well from the opponents half. Oh, and he’s never Injured and his relationship with Odegaard(who also rarely gets injured) looks improved and scary😮Also people forget that Arteta’s main job at City was to improve players.

The squad needs MAJOR investment. The objective has to be: compete and challenge for 4 major comps The current squad is way too thin. Arteta clearly has a bunch of players he doesn't trust. And when he plays the B team we get knocked out of the Carabao by West Ham for instance. So it is NOT just about signing another Rice & Havertz level player. He needs to be smart and get rid of the players he wont start in the PL. There are at least 10 that can be upgraded if sold. But they wont go radical and we'll still be left with 14 or 15 players who play 95% of all the minutes in all comps. Until we are going deep in all comps, easily rotating without drop in performance and able to cope easily with injuries to key players we are far from doing well. Cedric, Elnenny, Nelson, Nketiah, Lokonga, Ramsdale, Tavares, Tierney and Vieira- all these need to go this Summer. I would also sell Jesus and Zinchenko. That should provide a significant warchest to add quality a depth to the starting XI Striker, Winger, Defender, GK back up and a 6. Possibly an 8 too. Talking starting XI ready players
