Man why did I watch this?! I felt all the pain and frustration all over again! 2006 champions league was ours! Even with 10 men we were the better team, I remember they interviewed Henry after the game and they asked him did the better team win, he said “no, we played with 10 men”

Players at that time were either strong and tall or small and good dribblers, he already started with being tall strong fast and a good dribbler, then added in his intelligence of the game and his running, no weak foot, clinical finishing with head or foot. He was truly a master of the game, any team he played for was privileged to have him.

I remember so much from this era, Henry and Hleb both eventually went to Barca. Cole went to Chelsea, Campbell went to Portsmouth, Pires went to Villareal, Guily was left out of the French national team, messi didnt play in the final due to injury. And in italy was the match fixing scandals lol but Italy went on to win the world cup after this.

@@kevinmcgee373 Except he was good in most finals, even in this one. Missed a chance he should've scored, but was arsenal's biggest threat, and occupied the barca defence by himself. Created chances out of nothing vs 2 or 3 defenders. If Arsenal stayed with 11 men, he scores asily, Barca could not contain him for 90 minutes with support.

Yes the Eto'o goal was offside but the free kick that lead to our goal was a blatant dive. We weren't robbed by Barcelona we only have ourselves to blame. But we will win the champions league and relegate that final to being just a memory

Vẫn nhớ mãi trận CK 2005-2006 này, kết thúc sự nghiệp của Henry tại Arsenal. Thời kỳ hoàng kim của Ars vậy mà... Nghi án Barca mua trọng tài và UEFA lắm. trong khoảng nhiều năm liền UEFA luôn ưu ái Barca. Trận CK C1 này chắc là điều nuối tiếc nhất trong sự nghiệp của giáo sư Wenger cũng như bao nhiêu fans pháo thủ nữa.

This Arsenal team was ridiculous. They had: Henry, Berkamp, Pires, Van Persie, Ljunberg, and Reyes. Just too much quality. Not to mention Campbell and Cesc. A dream team if there ever was one. If you guys couldn't win the CL with that team... I just don't know when/how will you ever win it? Although I will concede ref screwed them in the final.

But he did. Also, if Lehmann wasn't sent off, the ref would have sent off Eboué one minute later for a very reckless challenge on Gio. Almost split his knee in half

I see alot of people mentioning the Ebou dive which absolutely should have been dissalowed BUT i see no one mentioning that the run up Eto made which got Lehman sent off was offside so if the linesman did his job properly then that whole incident wouldn't of happened
