I feel like Timber will be an upgrade on Zinchenko. He’s not only good with the ball but he’s defensively sound as well. Not to mention he’s more than capable of backing up Saliba in that RCB position, an area we struggled last season.

Wait what, havertz lost 18 duels?? That stat shocks me. One thing I think Havertz did really well was just be annoying, he was constantly hassling that ball and a lot of the time turning it over. Has lovely ‘lazy’ like movement off the ball which does drag players out of position and allows others like martinelli to really shine. Konate didn’t know whether to pick up havertz or martinelli for large periods of that game and I think a lot of that was down to havertz movement. I wish in a way havertz slotted away his chance and it would look a lot different on his overall game, however saka picked up the pieces and that’s not always going to happen.

If Leao comes in, I don’t see us signing a striker anymore… one of him or Mattinelli goes into top 9 position. That would be great, these guys are still young and open to positional change. How old was Henry when he switched his position/gameplay?? The rest is history, it could be great moving forward.

A hot take that may not be popular, but we should chase Vlahovic again. He's the best potential striker for us. We could get him and Zubimendi as well for the same price as Osimen would cost. Adding a cold blooded striker and a younger, more athletic Jorginho type presence in the midfield would do bits and raise the level of the squad.

They have consistently put out that they are only trialing this at lower levels of football and there are no current plans to implement this at "elite" levels, meaning we likely won't see it in the Championship, Premier League, or other international competitions like Europa League/Champions League. This is the game where Saka and Martinelli should not be fixated and static in their inverted wing positions. This is a game where they have to be everywhere in the attacking area and be multi-dimensional in how they play. This a game where the volleyball tactics of shooting has to be adopted seriously. This is also a game where the dynamism, flexibility and adaptability of Arteta will be tested massively. Will he use the same tactics against West Ham and hope for a different result this time or will he use muliple tactics during the game and be dynamic and unpredictable?
