There’s a reason why arsenal still leads the table. It is their consistency. Thats what city and liverpool struggle early of the game. If you gonna say arsenal having easy game for the first 8, liverpool and mancity also played those team as well. Palace and brentford away, that was massive point to get.

Xhaka has always been class to me. Look up his passing stats in midfield for past 5 years, he is always top 5 . Never ever injured . He is a winner but played in a toxic team for years.

Heung Min Son injured him in the corresponding fixture last season and that was when our resurgence last season was halted. Many people didn’t notice how poorly we did when he was out injured. To your point though, he came back sooner than initially expected.

Dont say that. Xhaka was playing in the wrong position all along. Only for the last two seasons he is playing well. He was poor for us before that. Now that he plays higher, his passing stats will dip. Dont agree with your, more pass=class.

@@saniakshay12 Kind of, Similar in a sense of facilitating others. Gilberto freed up Vieira of most of his defensive duties and allowed him to do more damage from an offensive pov. But Partey has a much better passing range than Gilberto had, but Gilberto was better defensively and snuffing out danger.

@@anuragdandekar6064 He was given too much defensive responsibility and couldn't play that way. Further forward he is more able to pick a pass, assist or ping it into the top corner. His game is all about his passing and reading of the game, making him play as a defensive midfielder beside an attacking midfielder meant he was always near the box getting the ball where he was closed down very quickly and looked more clumsy and error prone hence so many yellows and reds.

I never liked aubas allround game even when people were saying that he is carrying us. He just did the minimum a striker does.. and that is scoring goals. His dribbles passes and defensive work were always shit. Look at jesus now! He scores assists fights back wins so many balls and glides past players like r9! Not at that part of the video yet so you are probably spot on, and regardless he is a fool. But there are times in every match where saka drifts to the left, martinelli closes into the centre with xhaka and jesus hangs right. Starts happening in the last 40 minutes to mix things up it seems. Was he referring to that? Though probably sherwood meant from the start of the game lol, he is robbing a living.

Everyone just hates arsenal and doesn't give them credit for any win, it's always how the opponent was poor. We made them look poor, from pre-season, but those results were not flukes. You can see the progress. If we manage to beat Liverpool it will be the same story. But again, just like Leicester people kept doubting until it was too late.

The others are looking at Ian Wright like he's nuts when he's talking perfect sense. Arsenal are regularly battered by the press, pundits and other teams for being soft touches and weak but now their confidence is building, they have to aim high because you don't get where you want to be if you don't. I don't know why they are looking like that in any event, he has more sense and talent in his little finger than anyone on that couch. Sherwood has links to Tottenham so I expect some bitterness there but nothing changes the fact that Arsenal are looking good and can hopefully at least make Top 4 this time around hopefully. We can only hope to win the league with the likes of Man City but a Top 3 is still good considering the past 10 years.

I don't think Arsenal are as lacking in-depth as people make them out to be. Fully fit, Partey might be the only person who is difficult to replace. Other than that, they aren't as lacking.
