the difference between when zidane and pep came in and artetas situation is the squads they inherited. Zidane had a squad that had won the champions league 2 seasons before a team with ronaldo ramos marcelo bale benzema, pep came into a team that had messi, peak iniesta xavi valdes puyol who had just won the euros he had henry eto a team full of leaders. arteta has not got that at all. i hope it goes well for him but i dont think you can compare the situation they were in to artetas.

It will not be an instant change definitely do not expect it, I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes him right up until the end of the season. Even though I’m behind him and think he will save us he will definitely take awhile to settle in. We need to keep faith and support him this football club needs a new mentality and to be less toxic.

@@OkA-007 Well, he (Arteta) received 3 offers back then after his retirement as a player: 1) offer from Wenger to manage Arsenal academy; 2) offer from Pochettino to work with him in Spurs; 3) offer from Guardiola to become his backroom staff in City. As far as winning a first interview goes, that was a complete success. He spoke honestly about the state of the club and delivered a firm and convincing message. Looking forward to seeing what moves he makes over the next few seasons to right the ship.

Very impressed- He got ask whether he thought our attacking identity had gone. I waited to hear if he would be honest, and he said Yes. Im Optimistic that he will impart an identity on this side and buy players to fit and function within his setup. The Board better back him!
