To be fair though with his "anti-guest Character agenda" he always goes "Akuma Geese Noctis" whenever you ask him who the Top 5 is. Noct has way too many distinct weaknesses to be Top 5 for some people so that statement was hard to believe without any strong evidence to go with.

From listening to PhiDX on his channel I know he's struggled with nerves before (like many tournament players do) . This has probably got to be the biggest test of that and he was cool as a cucumber. I'm thinking he's either worked on it a lot with maybe a sports therapist, possibly a dietician or Zoloft. Just speculation though. He truly did play a great tournament here.
@creeper20ps

Zoloft, LOL. Most likely he just accepts it and he just works with it, instead of fighting it.

As good as Arlsan is, i feel like he has a little trouble with the US style of play. It's kind of surprising to see this trend because he dominates against Koreas best.
@larc7987

what Arslan was doing in 7:57 was a tech. It would seem like he dropped the combo but it's a setup for him to dash to the standing up opponent and perform a mix-up, either a grab or a low attack. He's done it a couple of times with kuni.

This match was totally different from other matches. I rarely see Arslan lose any match. But in this match, arslan was actually getting dominated. This could be the first time seeing a match like this. Arslan is one of the greatest player of all time. And phidx just beat him like this? He beats knee too. I think Phidx is one of the legends who just don't get enough appreciation. Props to both Arslan and Phidx. They both are legends.

@@Valigarmanda they're kind of the wild card, but consistency (outside of super akouma) seems to be the issue.
