In this art haul video, I unbox the latest Sketchbox featuring Windsor & Newton's Cotman watercolors-a fantastic mixing set with 12 vibrant colors. I also reveal this month's Stencil Girl Stencil Club stencils, along with some exciting new stencils and goodies from Joggles, including wet-strength tissue paper perfect for a future Gelli Plate project. Additionally, I showcase a delightful Etsy shop that curates creative fabric bundles with vintage linens and lace, ideal for art journal covers and fiber art. So glad you are still being inspired to make and bind your own sketchbooks/journals,the scrap to treasure take on these is a great idea and something I do when OI'm making my own sketcbooks too,It's something I've come to really love doing,Your timing with this video is perfect as I found some old harback books,that I took the covers off off to use to make the covers for a new batch of handmade sketchbooks and it's a great way to upcycle.Vintage fabric srcaps for covers is a great idea as well. I now have my Mungyo oil pastels and I have tosay I really love them,the quality is great and they are so pigmented,but might just have to add their sogft pastels too...... I think te ATC sized stencils are a great idea too. I think the book mark watercolour pad is a great idea too,and I think I'm gping to try making my own version of that as a handmade pad/journal,the format of it appeals to me as it can be used landscape or portrait format. I use a lot of Tim Holtz,especially in his distress line of mediums and have done for years,he recently brought out some watercolour pencils, but they are not like other such mediums in that hey are woodless,but I really love them,I think you may like them too. Your haul videos are always a joy to watch and always inspiring me to try new mediums as well in my own mixed media work. (matt) P.s in your last video you takled about mixing the aqua bronze power with a watercolour binder to create a paint to put into a paint pan, if you haven't done this yet,try it,I have all the colours of these poweders and did just that and it gave me a lovely little metallics palette,and when dry you still get that lustrous sheen.

Wow, Denise, what gorgeous bookmarks you've made! I also have the 30 set of the Mungyo soft pastels. For the price, I find them super pigmented. I reach for them more frequently than my Richeson pastels! Thank you for the video and inspiration. Have a great weekend! 💖

Well Happy Birthday video to me!!!! What wonderful art. I have my sketch box next to me and thought book marks would be great. I bought a special set of the Mungou soft pastels at Christmas and they are so vivid. I put mine in vintage white milk bowl and they look so beautiful. Todays video really made my day. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Fun video! The bookmarks are fabulous. I too get ridiculously excited when my Joggles package has new tissue paper. Stencil packaging tip: slice the top “hang tag” off right below the heat seal. That way you can slide the stencil in and out with out having to fight with that gummy strip at the bottom. Life is too short.

You have an amazing eye for color… something I haven’t developed yet. I loved the colors you put down from the new water colors and then you pulled out the very different matte paints. What? Pink over olive green? I love the way your bookmarks turned out but I would never have guessed they would look so great with all the colors you used!

I love your art hauls! Mungyo also makes water soluble oil pastels. I found them on Jerry’s Artarama - a set of 36 I believe for something like $15.00! They haven’t come yet but reviews on KZfaq are favorable. And, Joggles has everything on sale throughout July- 20% off! Thanks for sharing. Have fun with your supplies!

The bookmarks/totems return! I was really happy when I saw the Cotman paints in my Sketchbox for World Watercolor Month. I have a lot of watercolors of all different types, from inexpensive to not, but have never tried any W&N. I wonder how they'll compare to the Daniel Smith, even if the Cotman is student grade. Lovely demo of all the things.

I was excited to see the totems in your intro. The bookmarks are so colorful and fun…the paints kept their vibrant color once dried Appreciate the info about incorporating the base color with other colors for harmony. I love art haul day…you bought great stuff. FYI, after watching a crafting video, I started cutting the tops off the stencil packaging to access the stencil and put it back. They don’t come out and it is so much easier than using the adhesive end which always stick to the stencil and makes me swear. A big hug to you.🤗

Lovely video 😊 I love Joggles, but unfortunately every time I place an order I have to pay an import tax to Canada, so it makes the stencils pricey. I am a Tim Holtz hoarder and been collecting everything under the sun for years, so to reduce things in my stash I made a junk journal homage to Timmy 😂

Great video! I loved the art work!! I have a mixing set of Cottman watercolors that I haven’t used, so after seeing your video I took them out to play. I found them frustrating, as they were sticky and I had to constantly re-wet them. What are you thoughts, Denise?
