I appreciate hearing you talk about struggling with color selections and that it's ok to have dozens of references for your art. Sometimes talented artists seem like they don't struggle at all, and from an outsider view it looks so effortless for them to create amazing pieces. When I struggle with a piece I get discouraged, but hearing about your process helps me not feel alone about how much work goes in before the paintbrush ever hits the paper. Lovely work as always :)

This painting is absolutely stunning!! Your approach to creating intricate detail is amazing to watch!! Everything about the gal is gorgeous!! Having said that though, giving her beautiful pink eyes could easily be associated with her having "pink eye", aka conjunctivitis, which we all know is highly contagious. Lovely and delicate as she is, I hope she's staying home for the next few days and getting her rest. :)

Name suggestion: Kokoro's Cordial Kokoro means heart in Japanese(feminine name in Japan) and Cordial is an adjective for warm and friendly. I love the concept of gothic Lolita so when you chose the colors to be lighter tones(I think pastel) I thought cordial fit the description personally. This is also probably one of my favorite videos; excited for more of your content.

When I look at her she reminded me something majestic and delicated because of the butterflies, and the title who came to my mind was Titania, The Fairy Queen. But at the same time she reminded me of Morgana Le Fay, because she has some kind of mystic atmosphere.

This is so beautiful i think this has been one of your best works in watercolor i love it so much!!! If you want a korean name maybe you can do something with the word butterfly which in korean is "nabi" (나비) i dont know about history or many names but i know some words so maybe blue is "purun" (푸른)--also romanized as puleun, but it sounds more like purun--, hair is "moli" (머리), pink is just pink, woman is "yeoja" (여자) I just read the name Seoyeon in the comments and maybe something like butterfly girl Sonyeon would be nice - this would be like "nabi sonyeo Soyeon" (나비 소녀 서연) - or maybe blue haired soyeon "purun moli Soyeon" (푸른 머리 서연)

Hi Lioba ! I am very happy you did this review and tutorial with some Arches cold pressed watercolor paper ! I use it all the time and I am very happy with it, as you said it stays wet a long time and l’avis are really good on it ! Plus you can add and add layers and the paper is still so good! Arches are really a good brand, but the texture on the cold pressed feels so intense so I understand it would have been difficult to use it with pencils or gouache as you did in the previous painting. I wonder if your Fabriano paper was the 50% cotton or a 100% one ? Just to end this awfully long comment, I really love the result you got here and hope you’ll work with Arches some more !! This looks like Gustav Klimt but using all the wrong colours lol...it's beautiful! I hope you didn't take the Klimt comment the wrong way...it was meant as a compliment...you are really good! I love this... I know you see it as SciFi and I can see that but I can also see the 1920' s and maybe that's correct as there was an old movie, a German one, Metropolis which would link your painting to SciFi which was a 'thjng' at the time, (I think Sci To and Egyptian stuff went hand in hand) and I can see your painting fitting beautifully in the Sci To of the time as well as looking brilliant now as a contemporary piece..
