Second Problem: 5-3=2 ( to find the difference between adults and kids ) ( difference is 2 ) 3x5=15 ( to find total number ) 15-2=13 13x3= 39 (number of kids) 13x5=65 (number of adults) and if you are asked to write your answer as a ratio: 39:65 ----------- *Always write the ratio the way they began it in the problem: KIDS TO ADULTS. Dude, you are making this harder than it is. 5kids = 2adults, xkids = 14Adults. solve for x? Cross multiply, you get 2x = 70, divide both sides by 2, you get x = 35.

One of the worst parts about math for me was learning how to do one problem, multiple ways. I can learn how to solve a math problem multiple ways, but it usually confuses me in the end, during the step-by-step process. I get the multiple solutions confused with each other.

Cross multiply doesn’t work for these problems. Basically if is 39 cows: 26 pigs and you have 52 pigs how many animals together? Answer is 117. 26+26 is 52 so you know it’s 2 times you have to do 39 cows. Which is 78 then just add 56 and 117 is total animals.

Theres a method for 3 ratios so imagine 36 docs for student A, B and C and ratio is 1:3:5 now 1+3+5=9 36/9=4 4x1=4 4x3=12 and 4x5=20 so 4, 12, 20 for the people

Pls dont judge my working out First question 14 divide by 2 = 7 7 X 5 = 35 Secound question 3 : 5 the gap between 3 and 5 is 2 and there is 26 more then kids, 2 divided by 26 = 13, 13 X 3 = 39

So i have a question If 700coins are shared among A,B and C. It is known that the ratio of A to B is 6:7, and the ratio of A to C is 2:5. Find the number of coins in C's share. So my problem is, I know A:B =6:7 , A:C= 2:5 But to find C's share out of 700, I need to find A:B:C, how do I calculate that?
