ART OF THE GARDEN: Tom Stuart-Smith on Gardens and the Imagination

Whether it is a musical motif, molecular cell structure or perhaps a painting that has inspired him, Tom Stuart-Smith - winner of eight gold medals and three times Best in Show at the Chelsea Flower Show - explores the many influences that go into the creation of his gardens, which he always sketches by hand to seed the idea of what a place could become.

It makes it really frustrating to watch the video where he talks about a certain garden, yet we can not see the picture he is talking about. Please, work a little on the editing next time. You have done wonderfully with the other interviews so far!

rather badly made unfortunately as many of the images he is referring to are not shown on this video. Given this is such a visual subject it is a shame it was not edited more professionally

What´s the point of having a video about gardens when you don´t show them the pictures on the presentation?? Quite baffling. Shame there arent´enough talks given by Tom Stuart-Smith. His observations which are so interesting, saved this 50% experience of a video presentation on gardens.

These were usually filmed with two cameras, a wide and a close up. On this occasion, there was a technical issue with the wide so we kept to the close up and edited in whatever picture he was talking about whenever it changed. Don't worry, you don't miss any of the slides, they're all shown as they change.

Maddening how badly this has been edited or filmed. Two cameras or not. What is the point in posting it online? Fix it or pull it down. What a farce.

Dan Gale - perhaps watch your own handiwork and you will know that all the slides are not shown.

Please re edit ..Context is fundamental and not being able to see the images referred to makes this virtually unwatchable...we all know what Tom looks like jus use his voice as a commentary juxtaposed with the images of the subject addressed ..pretty basic
