I love these videos so much and like all your fans i look forward to every single one. I can't believe you manage to do this EVERY WEEK !! Every video is fun and informative and inspiring. And you're so genuine. you never act like a know- it-all even tho YOU KNOW IT ALL ( or at least it seems that way ) I also love the way you film and edit . such a great combination of detail, close up shots as well as farther away shots so we get the whole picture --and then little side things so we can greet Cooper or the cats----it's like it would be if we were in the studio with you ! I so hope you're feeling better - sinus infections are a drag .

Judy, what a great comment to get! I really can't believe I get one out each week either - but it keeps happening! I definitely don't know it all - but what I do know I love sharing with you guys. I'm so glad you enjoy my editing - I spend a lot of time each week working on it so I'm so glad it comes through! AND that it feels like you're in the studio with me is awesome! And, yes, I'm feeling better - that was filmed several weeks ago (I'm ahead on my filming - yahooo!)

I have no self control with new art supply unboxing 😅 Magenta and crimsons are my favorite pinks 😍 No good with measurements either / would be much easier for us to see real virtual sizes online for art supplies Oh my word that sketchbook!! I thought the edges were gold..... then you opened it and , BAM! 🤣 I’ve never seen a sketchbook with yellow paper........ can’t wait to see What you do with it 😊🌸

I have to dig deep for the self control these days because I need to be able to film - can't just jump in like I use to but that's ok - it's worth it! I've had so much fun with the yellow paper!

I recently got a sketchbook with grey paper which I love but I haven't tried any colours other than black, white and silver on it. Good idea to do the swatches of colour on a page!

Grey paper is SO MUCH FUN! Yes, do the swatches because colors look SO different on colored paper and besides it's just so much fun to do!

We are all watching you here in Queensland, Australia. And you are just so talented with making of these videos. I love all the different painting gear you get and I love all your references you use, so you give us painters here some good ideas. I am a painter but im hopeless on computers and not able to make videos. You sure have a lot of supplies and we notice how much you love all the different colours. So thanking you for sharing all of this.

Phthalo Blue and Quin Magenta are a couple of my fav colours :) Phthalo Blue and Phthalo Green make a beautiful turquoise.

I don't at all understand beauty product hauls, or shoes and handbags...but art supplies? My drug of choice. lol. And oh, you are enabling a sketchbook habit that I really need to get control of. I have a weakness for paper things....oh, and huge window-envy, your studio is so beautifully bright *sigh* Thank you so much for sharing :)

Thanks Sandi. 😁 The yellow looks fun, but I noticed there was also a multi coloured journal. So interesting to experiment and see how each colour reacts with the different coloured materials. I also love the emerald green ink. (Might have to try.) Hope your 👃 has recovered. ❤️🌈

I just got a black page sketchbook the other night and now I'm seeing this yellow.... I do NOT need it, but I really, really REEAAALLLYYYY Want the yellow. Some of my favorite doodles were on an ooooold piece of yellow posterboard that was probably left over from like the 80s.Yellow paper is a fun starter. I saw that there is a rainbow paged one too!!! Super neat!

you can make more pinky (cool) reds by adding a small amount of blue to red. then you can add various amounts of white and get all different pinks. If you add white straight to red it will give you a peachy kinda pink.

As I was watching, I pulled out my own sketchbook to swatch out some new coloured pencils! Did you know Golden Paints has come out with a new line called So Flat Matte acrylics? I thought of you when I heard about it!

Like the yellow sketchbook with the colors you’ve used in it like the orangey- peachy and the gold but not golden metallic markers/pencils! I wonder if the reddish conte would be nice sketching color on the yellow & make nice for spontaneous style? Rex conte always makes me think of all the old master sketches prep for bigger works I’ve ever seen - hands, faces, noses, arms, anything that’ll be significant ….

Ok... this what what I needed on this gloomy Friday! I was playing with using only green to sketch this morning and was discouraged. Then here you are with that wonderful page of green Higgins ink! You’re so inspiring to watch! I’m trying again tomorrow. Thank you for all you share. I’m sure it’s not as fun to edit video as it is to create so I’m grateful you film for us. I know this is an old video, and by now you've long moved on from that leaky ink bottle. But... Blick is usually (always in my experience) pretty good about sending out a replacement if something is damaged when you receive it. Just contact customer service, maybe have a photo of the damage in case they ask for it. I've never had them ask me to send it back to them, so it's not complicated. They just get the details and send out a replacement right away. Anyway... back to the video! :)

Loved this video! I shop through my stash and tried to inspire myself. Found my derwent charcoal blocks. Messy but fun and you can use them with a paintbrush and the granulation is so cool. I think you’d love them!

It’s weird how well they hold and release paint - all paint that I’ve tried so far they handle far better than a regular brush! So glad you’re enjoying them!
