I reconstituted two brushes that were rock hard from matte medium using Murphy's, but I never thought of using it on my brayers. Thanks for sharing this tip!

MOS ROCKS!! And so do you..! tried and absolutely worked so well I've now started my paintbrushes and it's perfect for this as well. Overnight gets those crusty paintbrushes (we sometimes forget to rinse).. back to where they should be! Just called the hubby to ask him to please pick up two bottles for me on his way home😂

+balzer designs Thank you soooo very much, I just went and bought 4 brayers this weekend it was a 4 pack,I wished I could have seen your video before but now I have more brayers to load my paint with without having to wash the exsisting one and then I can place them all together to peel the paint! Great tip Julie! Do you happen to know any alternatives though? It's crazy expensive where I am and it's not common too, something about it being a gunstock oil making importing difficult (read it on some forum)

I don't know, but Murphy Oil Soap is used for cleaning wood. So, I might try whatever you use for that?

Thank you! I've used Murphy's Oil Soap for years - it's great for wood floors - but it never occurred to me to use it for this. I tried using steel wool once - completely destroyed the brayer. Now, can you recommend which brayer to use?

My brayers don't have built up paint, just are really sticky? I tried washing them- nothin'! Will this work for stickiness?? Thanks!

I don't know. I don't have that problem. You can contact the brayer manufacturer to find out.
