A cycle of films about physical and geographical countries. So scientists call dissimilar territories that were formed during the geological history of the Earth. There are thirteen of them in Russia. Each has its own geological structure, relief features, and hence the special natural conditions that determine its originality.
Central Siberia is located between the valleys of the Yenisei and Lena rivers. The area is about 4 million square kilometers. It lies on the Siberian platform, which was formed more than 2.5 billion years ago.
In the southeast of the Siberian Platform is the Prilenskoye Plateau. There are majestic buildings here. These are the Lena Pillars. Downstream, the Lena River breaks into channels and forms the second largest delta in the world after the Mississippi. The delta of the Lena River is located beyond the Arctic Circle, in the tundra zone. The frost-free period here lasts only 40-50 days a year. Nevertheless, many species strive here to produce and raise offspring.
In the north-west of the Central Siberian Plateau is its highest part. This is the Putorana Plateau. Wild and impregnable land. This is the land of deep canyons, numerous rivers, lakes and waterfalls.
