Artec Industries Aluminum Skid Plate Update

A few years back I installed the Artec Industries aluminum bellypan skid plate system on my Jeep Gladiator. Unsurprisingly, I bent the aluminum oil pan and transmission skid plate because "go Berserk". I was a little sour about the skid bending, but I decided to give Artec skids another try. Artec updated the skid design which corrected one of my initial problems with it. Because of that, I purchased the new version to complete my skid plate bellypan.

Thanks! Besides denting the transmission pan, the skid system has been excellent.

Thanks, Phil! I plan to preemptively replace my transmission oil pan, just to be sure.

Thanks for some real from the heart reviews. I need a skid plate for my '23 JLURD and I need aluminum as I am getting orders to Hawaii and dont want steel plates that will rust away in a couple years.

You're welcome. I can't stand reviews where someone recommends a product they just opened and haven’t spent time with. Rust is a factor I hadn't considered before- thanks for the insight there.

Hey would you be able to show how the oil pan skid brackets attach? I've got the same kit and im not sure how they mount, not installation guide available so im stuck trying to figure it out. Thanks in advance

Definitely a 2 man job! Make sure you have all of the hardware (including the rubber isolator strip for the crossmember) before you start dismantling anything. It’s definitely worth the effort though.
