The Space Launch System (SLS) is a Super Heavy-Lift Launch Vehicle currently in development to support NASA's return to the Moon with the Artemis Program.
The first Core Stage for the uncrewed Artemis 1 mission has finally completed the last round of tests and will now be shipped to the Kennedy Space Center for final stacking and flight later this year.

I will, hopefully, be going to see Green Run Part 2 next week. In spite of my intense criticism of Boeing and SLS, I WANT this to succeed. SLS, in spite of everything I've said, remains our best shot (currently) of getting to the Moon by 2024. And this animation is utterly flawless. I am now a proud Patreon supporter and look forward to the day when you have a million subs. If there's anything I can do to help you besides the publicity I try to bring you on my channel, please lmk. 😀

"The first Core Stage for the uncrewed Artemis 1 mission has finally completed the last round of tests and will now be shipped to the Kennedy Space Center for final stacking and flight later this year." Are you sure about that Corey? EDIT: Looks like I was wrong to be concerned. All is indeed well even with the failure of the first static fire.
@1962Michiel
@1962Michiel 3 жыл бұрын
I think this failure was the straw that broke the camel's back. Biden will cancel the program that had taken long delays en huge cost overun and use the money tot get the American economy going again. NASA should contract private companies to develop rockets. SLS is not going to be economical and will be outdated before completion.
@ryanrising2237
@ryanrising2237 3 жыл бұрын
@@1962Michiel SLS was never meant to be economical or up-to-date as I understand it. NASA wanted to build a rocket, but Congress just wants money to keep flowing to contractors in their states. This is the best rocket NASA could get away with building while still keeping those contractors happy, and as long as it does that it's still serving its purpose pretty well (in the eyes of the people who wield the checkbook). I don't think it'll get cancelled if it continues to do so.
@hawkdsl
@hawkdsl 3 жыл бұрын
@@1962Michiel "Failure".. LOL. A shutdown by the rocket computers during a test fire is not a failure. I'm no fan of SLS, but it has been mandated into law. It's happening whether we want it to or not. Biden can't cancel it. Everyone should just save their energy, and enjoy the show when they start flying. SLS is probably the last US government (NASA) built rocket program.

@@hawkdsl Yeah, they can't just scrap this. They have so much hardware and planning that relies on the rocket.
@brokensoap1717
@brokensoap1717 3 жыл бұрын
@@1962Michiel There was no failiure lol The hardware did it's job properly, there was an early shutdown because of too strict test criteria Besides this was a test, meant to look for issues and then fix them if they manifest It's completely normal if not expected for something to pop up, after all this was the first time this rocket stage was fired If you expect cancelations in the forseeable future you will be thoroughly dissapointed

Do you use 24fps just cause it's less frames to render? I get that, but it does make the viewing experience rather choppy. I'm guessing the compression is just KZfaq though.
