ive done 1000s of these as an intern without local. in my opinion local is not necessary extra needle and local stings as well.

Everybody's perception to pain is different. Learn that! Just another follower that don't care about pain they are causing.

There's lots of research on this that shows that even with the extra prick, pain is still lower overall.

You can do that when you get a local. If you don't get a local that's when its unbearable.

Ah . Assuming you have a stable cooperative patient, you can find everything you need in the treatment room, you have plenty of time to explain the procedure to patient, get informed consent and document in their notes. For those who work in the NHS, will understand what I am saying

I had 7 of these as an asthmatic child. Never was I offered a local anesthetic, and goodness, this video is so over done. Yes it hurts, but honestly it isn't as if they are dealing with an infectious patient.
