Its one thing having an inverted LB/RB (last season), and its another shoehorning a player, at the expense of 3 players which disrupts the entire cohesion of the team

If Arteta doesn't revert back to what worked SO WELL last season, and switch us to a back 4 with White at RB, Gabriel next to Saliba, Zinny at LB, with Partey and Rice in the double pivot.....then we are doomed to fail this season. He also surely can't be so stubborn and riddled with hubris that he chooses to stick with Havertz. We'll know either way in 8 days. 🤞

Arteta please note that 70% possession does not earn anyone the right to win a game. You need to score goals and be ruthless in games. Stop your madness with these experiments, keep things simple and trust your players in their correct positions on the field. If you are not careful you are going to lose the dressing room very soon.

We can't challenge like this for sure. I'm not freaking out but we keep conceding too many goals at home, it helped to derail the push last season and if we don't stop the nonsense and get our act together, we'll be done before December. Valid point, we looked better last year and I don't like that. I know players need time but we aren't even playing the same way and for the life of me I don't understand why. Hopefully Arteta fixes it and get the team playing the way they should be.

There was so many things wrong with that game 1. Lack of clinical finishing in the first half 2. Us putting the foot of the gas when we take the lead again which seems to be an recurring theme at the emirates... This needs to stop 3. Havertz LCM experiment needs to end as he is ineffective there when he has the ball. Bruh there was a point saliba pass the ball to havertz who is in acres of space and the guy passes it back instead of driving with the ball.. wtf 4. The partey rb experiment needs to stop too coz saka seems isolated as he needs an overlapper to support. The only way it works is if the rcm underlaps or overlaps like a esr instead of being the creator

They called Arteta best man to man manager but how many career has he killed? So arrogant only picks his favorites. Saka needs to be dropped so he can gain his form back. They guy been playing nonstop either if has good game or bad game. We can’t just play the same team every game. We have to changed our tactics and team based on our opponents

I agree Big C, I said the same thing during pre-season -- that 2nd place last season (with quite a lot of points and very close against a juggernaut like City) wasn't all that bad considering the players' levels. The system clearly worked. Should have just kept the working system, pinpointed the weak spots and brought in quality ballers. This is on the manager, because as much as Havertz doesn't work, he doesn't play much different than he did at Chelsea when Arteta went for him. Havertz didn't buy himself. He also isn't forcing Arteta to play the other players out of position. And with all due respect to Arteta, if he doesn't learn from these mistakes immediately, it will (and should) be the end of his career at Arsenal. This season is crunch time, the "process" was given a lot of time and even more money, time to show results.

You said it Curtis as I've been saying since the start of the season 'if it aint broke don't fix it', simple. All Arteta had to do was build from last season, instead of tinkering around playing players out of position and complicating things. All you had to do was strengthen with quality additions to cope with the CL and go again in the PL, but importantly to win a trophy for the fans. I'm sixty years an Arsenal fan and this is the most ludicrous set-up I've ever come across from any previous Arsenal manager. Tinkateta get out of my club before you destroy it altogether.

Next week I want us to win, but if we don't...this manager needs to get humbled.

1. Havertz MUST be benched for Trossard or ESR 2. Man City would never go into a defensive shell at 2-1 up to 10 men Fulham. If you smell blood, keep hunting. 3. Partey MUST play midfield even if it means replacing Rice 4. Gabriel Mag MUST play center back with Saliba 5. Ben White MUST play right back 6. Arteta needs to add to what worked well last season. There is no need to change everything.

He spent a good two seasons to build up a team and fine-tune each position and partnerships, so it's a bit daft of Arteta to break Saliba-Gabriel partnership. It he wants to accommodate Kai, dropping Gabriel isn't the solution and instead he should have played three at the back with White-Saliba-Gabriel with a double pivot of Partey-Rice in front and should have played Trossard in the attacking midfield of Martinelli-Tross-MÖ8- Saka with Kai at #9. Instead he completely botched everything. Ideally, he should make players like Kai, Jesus & Zin sit on the bench and itch to get on the pitch instead of giving them a free pass. Fabio seems to have got the fire in him, so must be the same with Kai. Again, how long does he want to bench ESR and kill his potential? Bizzare substitution of MÖ8, whatever stage in the game it might have been because he has the ability to create at any moment. I don't hold out much hope this season.

Last week I said Arteta risked our lead 1-0 against C.Palace after the red card incident. He played for defending only for the remaining 30 minutes without a striker. He took out Martinelli, Eddie, and Saka played as LB. If C.Palace scored in the set piece last week like yesterday then we could lost to C.Palace before the game ended. Arteta said last week he likes the way we won at the C.Palace. Well. I said it was stupid. We were lucky. We know Arsenal is the team that cannot play defending. We are an attacking team. We are not Man Utd can defend and go for the counterattack. This is not our DNA. Arsenal is about domination and attacking. Well... Yesterday just showed what type of team we are. I never trust Arsenal on defending. We just can't defend. Our defense is the attack.

Last season could be viewed as a false positive in terms of challenging. This year, doesn’t look like we’ll be anywhere near challenging - perhaps a reflection of our baseline level. I do think that the Timber injury completely wrecked the plans however.
