I believe many Arsenal fans need to change their mentality. Winners win and don’t put the pressure on. Xabi Alonso and Xavi won league titles within 18 months of management. Howe and Emery CL football in 18 months. ETH has ManU in 3 cup finals in 2 seasons. Stop the excuses and wake up, we will never be seen as elite until we win trophies. We talk like we are Real Madrid our trophy cabinet doesn’t match our chat.

arteta won fa cup in his first 6 months, edited arteta took over an awful team and a toxic environment of a club. if alonso was vs pep's man city with his Leverkusen, he doesnt win the league. end of story. not comparable at all.

@@anch2602 Did I say anything about winning the league. I said trophies, arteta won the FA Cup in 6 months with players he didn’t want. It’s his squad now not a single a final in nearly 4 years. You have no right to win a league title, but what about cup competitions. Winning smaller trophies gives you confidence to win a PL or CL.

This is the first year we've had a team good enough to challenge for a league title and we fell short by a small amount. I couldn't care less about the cups, I want CL or league, I wanna see another rice level signing this year, timbers gonna be back in business for us, he's a very good player. @@anch2602 I agree with you to a certain extent, but every team needs to have a starting point. Liverpool reached 3 European finals before they won the CL. They also got 92, 97 points before they won the league. Success breeds success, so dismissing smaller trophies is arrogant. Manchester City won the carabo cup 4-5 times in a row. Winning trophies separates the good from the elite.

Worst kept secret. Folarin Balogun sold and arteta cost arsenal the league. Everybody wanted him to stay but arteta didn't think he was good enough. Arteta good manager but when it comes to keeping players that are needed that's questionable

Who says to win anything in football you have to play with an "inverted" full back? Is that in the Bible? You set up formations with the players you have to play such formations.

He didn't really do much wrong other than putting faith in Nketiah, Playing partey RB, and playing Havertz CM . Squad depth was the main issue (some of that blame has to go to Arteta but it's not all on him)

Couldn't agree more that we should want to have the best managers/teams in the world in the league of the team you support. It feels even better when you win it and it also sharpens you for the CL, where you will face the best in the world. And ya know, we don't even have the excuse that the team that knocked us out of the 4 cup competitions ended up winning that respective cup: FA Cup - Knocked out by Liverpool Carabou Cup - Knocked out by West Ham Champions League - Knocked out by Bayern Premier League - Beaten by West Ham, AV and Fulham and NOT Man City

I agree about the Villa game, but looking at that last game vs Everton, Even if we won that Villa game, we would have crashed at some point due to the pressure. This team performs well when there is no pressure, but as soon as it's a do or die situation, we don't DO the Doing required. Now how do you adress this issue? we need to start winning cups and anything we could get our hands on, to know the feeling of winning. It's an issue that we faced for Three consecutive seasons now.

Just finished the stream I do agree with alot of your points Curtis were the manager has cost us with in game management and has been to stubborn and kept individuals he shouldn’t have not to mention dismissing the cups but on the other hand besides the disappointing end to the season he has done a lot of good this season and we took it to the wire unfortunate the outcome but I do believe he is the guy to take us forward we’re improving every season I know you would sack him and fairly slow but who are you realistically getting that’s the problem everyone is having at the moment all the old greats managers are washed and the managers who are achieving are staying with there clubs so as bad as it is to be patient and accept the situation we’re well positioned for the future but we do need to win something next season and continue to challenge again do it while pep is in the league

The only thing I would say is that winning a trophy and the club being in a great state are not mutually exclusive. For example, if Man United win the FA Cup, there’s an argument that they’ve had a better season than Arsenal because they won silverware. However be honest, would you rather have an entire season of frustration and pain watching your club playing poorly but then have one day of being happy because you won an FA cup, or would you rather have an entire season watching exciting and excellent football, pushing the title race all the way to the final day? Football is more than just the trophy you may or may not win at the end of a season, it affects your mood and attitude week in week out.

Years back players was considered talents from 20-25 and peaking between 26-30. Today fans are calling players washed in their early 20's. A player like Martinelli has played 128 PL games for Arsenal at the age of 22 and contributed to 48 goals. And people want to move players like him on? To put things into perspective, here are the big league debut age of some players that are considered world class winger/forwards in history. Debuts Figo - La Liga - 22 years old Ronaldinho - La Liga - 24 years old Salah - PL (Pool) - 25 years old Robben (Bundesliga) - 25 years old He's got areas to improve on, no doubt. But this is a player Klopp called "talent of the century", Pep called "an incredible weapon" and his older Brazil team mates labled "A phenomenon". This doesn't change just because of a disappointing season. I mean it's ok to critizise his season, but considering his age and potential I think som fans are showing incredible recency bias and impatience. #AFC
