*UPDATE ON THE SKETCHBOOK* I've since used water media in it a few times. It bleeds through a bit pretty quickly, it definitely worked better for gouache. The bleeding through it enough for me not to want to use it even though I love the size, feel, and the way it opens. I also did more layering of media and found the paper to be weak and felt like it wanted to tear. I wouldn't recommend this for someone who wants to use a lot of watercolor or inks.

I dont know if anyone said this but mixing a nice purple requires special blue pigments. So the red and blue making brown could be the blue having yellow in the pigment

I love the last tiger illustration, it would look stunning as a painting on a wall, or even its own wallpaper!! It will totally bright up any space

I felt overwhelm when you took them all out of the box in all the trays. I just bought a 12 pack of the pastel colors and a 12 pack of neon colors as those are the colors that generally make me happy. I love your illustrations and art style 😍 🎨

I love all the art piece u did in the past as well as current, all the colors the combination, i am so fall in love with them..colors...colors.... never tired of see them again and again!!!

Sometimes mixing colors is funky if you use like a warm red and a cool blue. I also have like 6 gouache colors so 60 seems like too much.

I have that sketchbook, and honestly, I really like it! It doesn’t quite take the place of my favorite sketchbook, but I’m enjoying it. I do a lot of practice pieces, color charts. Makes a nice studio sketchbook.

it was helpful in regards to the sketchbook for me. I never want to buy notebooks that are wrapped up in the store because I want to open it and see if it opens up flat, but not ruin the binding so much. good video :) and loving your arms! jajaja I need to start working out more again.

I love that the sketchbook lays flat. I currently have the stratmore mixed media and I love the paper but it does always annoy me that i cant do a flat spread without taping everything down.

its true its a lot of colours, but I'm lazy i don't like to mix every single color i want. I already have a big collection because i don't like to mix too much, but I am just so interested in the lighter sand beige shades, those are colors that I just can't find in any brand (yes in acrylic gouache but i want just gouache) so if i could just get that pale yellow on its own I would :D

I think it would be cool if when you posted drawings of endangered animals on your instagram you would mention that their populations are declining and remind people to donate to wildlife rescue organizations because you have a large audience.

I didn't know how well cherry blossoms and tigers go together...

I could be wrong about this and since there’s 60! of them (also someone might have pointed this out already) but when mixing the blue and red together they might have been different tones. Or something XD sorry. Someone on here ,I try to find the video ago again, explained it really well with watercolors I believe. All the warm leaning primaries tones would mix together well together where as the cool primaries wouldn’t be as nice in color. You could still take a blue and a red to make purple but it was ... ugly.

I loooved the arteza fineliners, my boyfriend accidentally knocked my brushes over one day and put a bunch of them in upside down so a lot got crushed... and now they don't currently sell them :( But I got all new brushes basically now so :) All good :)

Hey Leigh.. I too prefer mixing my own colours, haha! Sixty is a ridiculous amount of colours, gave me anxiety, in fact, as you opened up that box. I was so up there empathising with you with regards to the frustration of mixing blue and red and expecting purple but getting brown instead but then I remembered this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o6yFqstkls24iKM.html on colour theory. Don’t get me wrong, you and me both no doubt are all about that colour theory but watch till the end as this girl turns the light bulb on and goes into some deeper stuff about COLOUR MIXING theory!! Yes, colour mixing. Hashtag mind blown. It makes perfect sense now all my years of frustration trying to create orange yet all along it was the wrong *Tone of yellow and red. It’s all about mixing the right cool tone and warm tone primary colours. P.s I’m from the Southern Hemisphere so, no, “colour” is NOT spelt incorrectly! We Aussies spell it the *correct way. Hehe.. love your channel. X
