Because of metas Ai situation, I ad an artist is moving platforms. I tried three new apps for a week, this is my review.

Something I'm concerned with is that just like blue sky there will be a sudden influx of users only interested in posting their art and not really wanting to interact with the community. Which then kind of results in the website's art community declining in usage almost as fast as it grew. So I hope artfol and cara are actually worthwhile

That's how I still experience Cara to be, after two weeks trying to be interactive, I've only received one single comment. It's pretty dead to me, so I will wait to upload more. They also need to figure out how to go further with the app before I want to put more effort to it.

@@CatzyMunsterinteresting.. I've found interacting on Cara to be a little bit more productive, though its still a bit of work.

Thank you for your honest review. I just heard about all the instagram stuff. Honestly I’ve noticed that I went from having around 50 views of my artwork to literally two maybe three. Hopefully this will be good transition.

That's how it's been for a long while for me.. Fb has been worse than Instagram. 800 followers, 10 people see my posts. I refuse to pay for exposure. I'm an artist, I'm already broke!

Artful? Thanks I'll check it out. I posted one painting on Cara, but i just don't like the look. In might be great for digital, but not so much for traditional art. It reminded me of Deviant art, all cartoons all the time.

The painting I posted on Cara was egg tempera, with water gilded 22 karot gold leaf of Pronghorn in a hand carved frame. It took me 3 months to make. It has been on Cara for 9 days with zero likes. Not hopeful.

Artfol yes! I find myself being more active there still. Note there's no algorithm, everything is chronological. I myself only draw traditional and still not after so many weeks find Cara to be slow growing. And everyone is so professional, artfol is more for everyone no matter the skills.

Hmm, they do? I know they have a third party doing Ai screening to avoid it being posted on the platform, but nothing else. But ye, I really enjoy Artfol.

@@CatzyMunster They use AI detector to find and ban AI images, but those AI bros trying to make it up as they use AI to secretly feed artist work to AI generator.

Cara has a deal with Glaze a software that poisons AI, look it up later. And their whole motto is the anti-AI platform.

@@voig2168 Depends on what you're looking for, I guess. I think most people will say Cara is the best, but I still get more interactions on Artfol. Cara is the most professional. Note none of the apps have an algorithm and are chronological, so you need to be active to be seen. I feel bad for adding to Caras monthly bill to keep the app going, so I only use it as a portfolio for now and not actively upload pictures. It costs them a fortune ($100k+ a month) in servers to keep the app running so I don't wanna add to that atm 😂
