I learned alot. I can not believe tobacco is allowed. Drugs were mentioned, where I thought NO visitors, No inmate contact. Unless there is something I do not know, if drugs exist, they must be coming in via correctinal officers???-I am glad I am in no prison. Freaks me out. I just heard Timothy McVie died in this place several weeks ago. I think ElChapo is in this place.

I did six years in the state, different custody levels, different security level facilities. This place is fucking terrifying. When they were doing the in-depth view of the cells, the sound of those doors. Man, dudes like Wayne Perry, Pistol Pete, Hoover, just with life sentences at THIS PLACE. This is a fate worse than death. Can’t even kill yourself because of the cameras. I guess your only hope is some day you’ll be old enough to not be considered such a security risk and get moved to a slightly lower security level, but even then.

@@AF-hx4xz I’ve done several month stretches in the hole. Four months twice during my bid. Those days are SO LONG. You hear other inmates yelling to each to other. They feed you 5 am, 11am and then like 3:30 so that 3:30 to 5am is a long time. I’d save bits of food to eat later on but say for example you have a shower that day (3x a week) they shake your cell down while you’re gone. I’d hide food in my shoes. The cells would be infested with ants, (even without the food) and I’d find myself once I got bored reading (I’d kill a book or two a day) I’d watch an ant crawl along the wall for minutes at a time, then kill it. I’d feel like God. It does weird things to your mind. I imagine there’s a period where it gets easier or worse as the months turn to years. The nights, especially on the weekends I’d think about people out having fun. You’d sleep until you can’t sleep anymore. Try to work out. Like I said, I guess it’d be different if it was a permanent situation.

@@AF-hx4xz did they tell you they would? Always assume they will. Are you banned from alcohol as well? I wouldn’t mess with those people, man. There’s a good Reddit thread about probation. R/probation. You might be able to get some questions answered about your state/area. But don’t mess with them, they’ll fuck you up given the chance. My charges were narcotics related as well.

Yes sir I’ve spent almost 6 years in this prison. If you remember the long hallway in this video over the years that hallway has been shut down and reopened because of all the weight on it. It’s underground and when it would rain it would actually leak all over from multiple different areas. But this place does have better food than most state and federal prisons I been in. I did a total of 17.5 years. What got me into the ADX was assaults on COs who would either assault me behind cameras or they would cuff me up so tight to the point that the handcuffs would slice my hands and wrist. I have nerve damage to my right hand from being cuffed very tight for 7.5 hours after a fight. I was also know as HUNTER because I would hunt and find CHOMOs and I would either stab and or assault them. This place is designed to break you. You’re in your cell 23.5/ 24 hours a day. After 6 months with perfect behavior you can level up and get more “rights” unfortunately for me I stayed on 23.5 in cell B7 for my whole time there.

This place is worse than anything I could imagine. It's so cold and empty and haunting. And the sounds of the doors. I got chills when those doors were opening and closing. Not only a door, there are bars behind the doors! I just cannot imagine why anyone would want to end up there. But it goes to show that there are no levels to the depravity but a human being can resort to. Thankfully there's a place exists like this, that keeps them contained. Terrifying! Ty for uploading. I was inside this prison from 2006-2012 at 26.50 you’ll see a hallway that’s underground what they didn’t tell you was the hallway is actually all fucked up. From all the weight of the dirt it actually started to bend the construction. Still to this day the hallway is used knowing that it COULD collapse. This place is hell, it’s designed to break you. A man named MOUSSAOUI is here he was one of the 9/11 guys who got convicted. He believe in his religion so much that he’s never ONCE been out of his cell. Because in order to leave your cell for yard you have to strip down naked and that’s goes against his religion. It’s kind of like the difference between thinking about one of the older, small MRI machines and actually being vulnerable on your back inside one with all that steel an inch from your face. There is such a difference between actually experiencing being locked in a cell and looking at it on TV and thinking about it. Being unable to leave when you want to, having it be completely out of your control and under someone else’s control, is a feeling you can’t imagine until you feel it. Some deal with it better than others. I could barely handle for one night.

I always found it hilarious when commenters on Solitary videos boast "oh isolation? I do that all the time this is nothing." Well it's a different story when it's FORCED isolation. When you don't have video games, smart phones, or things like that. I was fortunate to only have done a week in an isolation unit when I was in prison; where you still had access to books. A radio and a TV - if you were in there for over a month, or so..but no contact with another human being + only being let out 3 times a week for an hour.. it messes with your head, very quickly. I would take having an annoying cellie over that in a heartbeat.

Even Charles Harrelson called the USP Florence ADMAX his home and he said that the day lacks the amount of time for his own things and matters he likes to do during the day and he said that he enjoys the quietness and peaceful time inside his own cell! He also liked the TV-channels he could watch inside his cell! The same opinion about it that the USP Florence ADMAX is his home has Theodore John Kaczynski - the legendary Unabomber! He told in an interview a few years ago that inside the ADX Florence supermax prison his own cell has much more comfort like his own cabin which he had in the Montana Mountains and he has much more social contacts than ever before and he also feels comfortable in the USP Florence ADMAX - currently he is no longer in the USP Florence ADMAX and was transferred to the FMC Butner in December because of a very severe health issue! That's the information what I have! And I must say that I love the ADX Florence supermax prison and I wished me that I could see it once in my life with my own eyes! That's it! Period, end of story!

@@sarahivsutterb747 I can tell you this from experience every prisoner that has more than 5 yrs sometimes less calls prison and their cell home after just a few months being locked up. It’s just human nature and normal, unfortunately it’s the only way to cope and do your time without going crazy. If you think about the outside.. your real home your time gets really hard. It’s hard to explain how they reprogram your also how the body programs itself to do things extremely out of character. Calling the prison home is the least of the mental and physical character changes people suffer when incarcerated without reform. You would be surprised what the body and brain will get custom to and normalize.

This is horrendous. Humans are not animals, and most people who commit crimes grow up in horrible environments where crime is normalized. What they need is empathy and support so they can learn to break those habits from their youth and adopt a healthier life where they can live happily and positively contribute to society. Living in solitary literally kills your brain-if your neurons aren't active enough, they slowly die one by one, which accelerates the onset of dementia, causes irreversible significant cognitive impairment, and removes several years from your lifespan. This obviously exacerbates mental illness, fucks people's coping skills, and predisposes victims of solitary confinement to committing more crimes in the future. Not to mention the thousands of people convicted of minor crimes or falsely accused who would be kept in inhumane conditions if all prisons were like this.
