My voice needs to be heard! 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😘😘😘😅😘😘😘😘 He sings like an old man and he's not worth it! He doesn't have the voice for American Idol. He didn't deserve to be in top 7 this year. @@maryalicekelly8814 I think when he didnt follow the suggestions of John Stamos and Chris Martin that may of irritated voters. They both have been in the business a long time. I love Arthur and hope he does well. Look at Adam Lambert, Jennifer Hudson, Katherine McPhee. All lost. Lauren Daigle, Maren Morris, Kane Brown didn't even get to the later rounds. He has a fan base and now can succeed after the show. Chris Martin was awesome as a mentor, I agree.

@@karenhardie1132 I hope he has folks in the recording industry wanting him. He is a similar yet different Bob Dylan style. Most were against him because they resented him being brought back ( anyone from last year) to compete with this year. I did recognized how much the judges seemed to love his music last year and this year was different. likely because of Grace, Willie, and others.

I haven’t watched idol since probably season five but thank goodness the Internet exist! Because I have just discovered the amazing Arthur Gunn. I originally saw his audition video and just that rasp and rattle in his voice just made my soul ache it was gorgeous. And to take this cold song which I already loved and make me love it again and a whole new way, was so beautiful and so amazing and so what an artist does. I don’t need you to play the melody as it’s known so I can sing along, I want you to make it yours and then I will learn the way you did it and sing along with you❤

YES. He doesn't know it, but definitely yes. Last year, someone very very wise suggested to him that he sing a song that Paolo covered memorably on Jools H show, and Arthur did it, but unfortunately Arthur had to sing it at home w/o a band, just a track, and the tv audience was like, what?

Arthur....this is how good you are.....I listen to Khoj all the time and I can't even understand the words! You don't need AI, so take this new wind in your sails and cruise bro. Anyone can sing a song the way it's recorded but very few can make it their own. I absolutely LOVE your creative twist on songs. I haven't been able to watch every show this year of American Idol. I tuned in last night and was wondering who this guy, Arthur Gunn was. I am not familiar with the music of Coldplay, so the song Arthur sang was new to me. I was glued to the TV when he sang. Whatever he did to that song was magic. I love, love, love his style and voice. I thought he would certainly win it all. He is soooooo real. Can't wait to hear what he does with his talent. Remember, Prince was also one to be insistent on doing his music his own way. I just Love Arthur Gunn. I hope he knows that we truly appreciate him and want to see and hear more.

His swagger is high level throughout this performance. All along the song he conveys that "I don't give a fok what yall think, I'm just gonna do my thing and feel good" attitude. He woke up strong that morning. And at the end he almost looks annoyed at taking the mic and responding to the judges, like "not another round of compliments" sigh. Also love his frequent quick phrases talked into the song: "One more time", "another one", "yea there we go", "come on now". I love Coldplay but damn, this version hits me hard. This is fuckin flawless music.

Last week Katie compliments him on how comfortable and confident he is on stage, and this week it's suddenly a detriment and he should "play along." Riiiiiiggghhhht, that's not planned at all. Hopefully someone out there offers him a good recording contract and he leaves Idol in the dust. He deserves it.

Agreed. Katy’s comment was such an obvious turn. Arthur just graciously laughed at her lol... they couldn’t let him win, he was just used as a publicity stunt. He’s above Idol and they all know it.

Fully agree with you Barbara. I’m wondering if AI is a show searching for musical talent or just to rake it in for the producers. Lost respect for the show and the judges, who have their own subjective opinions. AI will lose its popularity
