I didn't know about the channel of that lady until I started watching your videos. She's so lucky to have her mistakes corrected by an expert. Either way, I blocked her channel after knowing she teaches wrong English, as a non native speaker I can't take any risks. Thanks for preventing us from watching videos full of mistakes, I have enough with mine.

I'm an English teacher myself (not a native speaker, though) and I think the fact the linguamarina posts her videos, and you so meticulously correct her is a fantastic opportunity for more advanced students to learn about subtleties of (American) English that they might not be aware of. Great job! And absolutely not hating on linguamarina. Given the fact she's a plyglot, her English is pretty solid, you must admit that. And probably for many people it matters more that she uploads motivating videos and has a great way of teaching than the fact that it is not perfect here and there. All they want is to be able to communicate and not necessarily to pass for a native speaker, right? But you guys are doinf a great job, keep it up. (Sorry if I made any mistakes myself, no-one's perfect ;-)

Marina speaks very good, clear English. It's just a shame that in her video lessons, where she has the opportunity to review, edit, and re-record herself (which you can't do in a real-life classroom), she makes and even teaches so many mistakes. She's making enough money off of KZfaq to hire a native English teacher to critique her videos so that she produces error-free content. Really there's no excuse for her.

Hi Kevin and Liza! Happy Sunday! For a non-native English speaker like me, you have no idea how amazing and clarifying I find your videos in which you debunke or demistify some other people's videos trying to teach English and, to top it off, they teach it wrongly. Thanks so much for this video and also for your ongoing support in helping non-native speakers of English around the world learn correct American English. Have a good one! :)

Collect is definitely being taught instead of pick up for beginner/intermediate level students in the English Galaxy channel where a Russian guy teaches British English mixed with American, he’s got a degree in English and a bunch of certificates, and I’m not sure if some other teachers teach it too. English dictionaries have it as well, for example “the children were collected from school”. But I don’t use that word for sure, I’ll just recognize it whenever I encounter it.

The doctor asked Miriam what her symptoms were when she paid him a visit last time. She told him that she'd had a runny nose,a cough and a stuffy nose. As response, the doctor informed her that she had just caught a cold somewhere. He made her a medicine prescription in which he prescribed her some antiallergic pills ,a nasal spray and some cough syrup. She had to take 2 pills every 8 hours, a spray splash in each nostril every 6 hours and had to drink a table spoon of cough syrup in the morning and at night.

Thanks for your videos! They're incredibly helpful. However, there's a slight difference between American and British English when talking about illnesses if anyone interested. One thing is that in AmE they use THE FLU, in BrE THE is optional (apparently it can be used informally). Another thing is that if you have A TOOTHACHE or in AmE you probably would have just TOOTHACHE in BrE.
