Watch as archeologists work to preserve the artifacts found in the John C. Calhoun monument cornerstone after the statue was removed last year. The archeologists were surprised to find the artifacts in such good condition.
Perhaps most significant of the artifacts is a jar that held a copy of Calhoun's final speech from the Senate floor and money printed by the Continental Congress.
