If it's a decent grade turf, use between 6-8kg's per m2. If the grass product does not have the curly thatch zone, then more sand will be required, 10-12kg's per m2. A good sand to use is Garside 2EW. Any more questions, give us a call on 0800 246 5566.

A good depth sub base and you may need to look at drainage options with your contractor, if you currently have any problems with the ground draining. @@thomasholland2384 Type 1 is recommended. It isn't shown in this video (only mentioned in voice over). Typically you would do up to 0.125 tonnes of Type 1 per m2 and 0.05 tonne of granite 6mm to dust per m2. Membrane can go above or below sub base, we prefer on top, followed by grass.

I have an artificial lawn,it saves a lot of work, but it still needs a degree of maintenance,and yes weeds will eventually pop up,a good sweep with a stiff broom once a month does the trick.
