Excellent review. I just picked up this printer for myself. I do have several years of 3D printing experience and wanted to get a large volume printer for some of the projects I'm looking at doing. I very much enjoyed how you presented everything that I have liked and subscribed to your channel.

PS: You can flash the Firmware to Marlin, because its based on Marlin.

I have the same printer. no major complaints. I use glue stick for long prints just in case. I was amazed when I lost power, and came back to the printer asking me to resume the print.

This looks like a great printer for large prints and comes with already parts that do not need to be upgraded, but my question is: can this be used to make tiles for the heroquest style board and walls? This may make my judgement on what I want to get soon. Thanks for being honest and also your commentaries that you do.

My X1 came with a similar spool holder to this one. It also has the same filament run out sensor. But sadly no auto bed levelling.

you can add that if you want man :) get a bltouch or a 3rd party model and you can connect it up

I was just about to purchase this after watching this review from amazon. Than I noticed there was *A LOT* of 1 star reviews from people, some who purchased the machine twice and still had issues. I am looking for a good large format 3D printer, but it needs to be reliable 1st and foremost. If you have one you recommend that isn't going to be a hassle, I would appreciate it. Thanks for the video.

Hey perhaps you may know what I’m looking for. Back then I used to collect these miniatures that have clickers on the bottom of the miniatures. I was wondering what those were called? And are they still popular today?

Yes, actually any FDM printer is going to be able to print Dragon's Rest tiles easily.

Any luck printing miniatures or just terrain?

I only print terrain on FDM printers because I use my SLA (resin) printer for minis. But I know some of my patreon supporters have had luck printing minis using a .2 nozzle and settings from Fat Dragon Games.
