Oh my goodness, this con was something 😭😭 me and my boothmate went around and asked exhibitors on the last day during packing for any vendor passes they didnt want, and thats the only way we got our two passes (that the con owed us,,,) for our literal debut con. Added onto this, one of the exhibitors booths, one person literally had about 3 extra lanyards on him (luckily he gave us one, but the lanyards that booth got far exeeded the amount of managers for that table). Im glad that the stress of the scheduling wasnt just me, and as someone who was in the other room, it was frustrating to be there, have it dead basically the entire time, and not have at least like a big arrow pointing people to the new room (last year, the only room was the one everyone entered in). The cosplay competition is the only thing that brought actual foottraffic. The lady at the front was rude and just handed me some paper wristbands when i asked about the passes, and i was basically just dismissed. For me, im local so i was able to earn back my table and setup costs. Meeting you, mania, jywlr, and various other vendors was really what made the con a relatively good experience for me. But it was such a stressful experience again and we got lost so much 😭

they should have vendor/artist badges reserved and not give away any that isn't extra

OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SHOUT OUT😭😭😭 it was so wonderful finally getting to meet you guys. I can’t wait to see y’all again🫀🫀🫀 Oh, also, more dirt on the Con: they ran out of badges, even before they opened the doors on Friday. Weirdly enough, one of my friends who showed up 30 minutes late was able to get one after arguing with a staff member, meanwhile, another couldn’t even get any until the end of the convention with another vendor gave them their’s 💀. The hours for the convention, or only listed on their FAQ page, and some of my friends had to rely on the guy on the intercom, telling him the times, since they didn’t know how else to get them. It was also bad for attendees too, because the FAQ page promised that panels and after parties schedules “would be released soon”; it said this up until, and during the convention on their site.

Yeeeah, this con was rough 😮‍💨 I was lucky enough to live sort of close, well closer than 4 hours at least lol. I also got lost ALL the time, super annoying. But thanks so much for the shoutout, I’m super happy you enjoyed the charm, and here’s to a better con next time! ✨💎

That’s so annoying! I recently had a con that had no information about where to unload/park and how to get to places inside the convention center so I understand the struggle and it just makes you want to pack up and leave all together. So glad you made the best of it and still shared it with us! Love your videos! ❤

👋 Hi, Lalaine! I’m a Palm Beach County native. I really wish I could’ve met you at this con, I really enjoy your work! 😭 I’m so sorry you had such a negative experience at this con. I’ve been to the South Florida Expo Center countless times, but I’ve never heard of Ultracon until last year. It looks like it is unfortunately targeted for locals only, and there seems to be very little effort at promoting this event. A lot of the locals around here are retirees, snowbirds, and beachgoers who have no interest in anime/comics etc. I feel so alienated as a anime/comic nerd down here. South Florida is very different from the rest of the state. I can only imagine the frustration of traveling a long distance for a con like this. I’ve only considered Ultracon as a starting point for me if I want to start doing artist alleys as part of my business, and because my parents live about 10 miles away from the Expo Center. So if I do end up at this con in the future, I know what to expect now. Thank you for your input. I hope to see you at a con near you soon! 😊

Sheesh I’m glad you covered your table, but I’m sorry that his con sucks at communicating and organization. I get the frustration because it can totally affect sales!!

Artists get charged way too much for these spots for the event runners to not do more for the artists and make sure it's a smooth enough event

Oh that’s interesting, the person on your right with all the taxidermy and trinkets was my neighbor last year at Fanboy Expo Orlando. 😂 Also, sorry you had that badge issue… reminds me of my MegaCon Orlando experience back in 2022 😵‍💫.
