Yay, thank you for this instructional video! I have this same machine and I’m having trouble with how much water comes out with my espresso. I’ll weigh out a 20g shot and it seems like too much water comes through the bulk head (25-30 sec of extraction time will provide a 120ml shot. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

You need to go much finer on your grind it is way too coarse. If you have pre ground coffee you need to get it finer or better yet buy a grinder and adjust it to suit your machine

In my old Gaggia I am used to just press the shott button and the boild refills while I pull my shots (small boiler). Problem ist Temp drops with time of the shot. How do modern machines like this work? Do they use the big volume to just use the water from the tank and refill themselves later? Do they also refill simultaneously? Or do I need to do it manually?. I understand that you need to empty it before steaming to create space but then you need to fill it up again: just by activating the pump? I would love a simple explanation before I buy one
@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters
@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters 5 ай бұрын
So yes you need to empty it to remove the water so there is room for steam to be generated. You then have to pump water back into the boiler until it comes out the steam wand then you activate the heat element again.

If I have the choice to either go for a quickmill Pippa for 699€ or the profitec go for 810€ wich one would you recommend? Is the Pippa really stable in temperature or is the PID with the profitec an unbeatable argument to buy the profitec go?

The Quick Mill Pipa is a far better choice. Much better build quality and finish. Heavy duty toggle.dwitches, larger boiler, more steaming power. Water reservoir easy on the right side. On the whole the Quick Mill Pippa is much more pleasurous to work with than the Profitec Go.

Hi I purchased the Pippa through your store before Christmas and it looks beautiful. Tried to do espresso but the pressure gauge only come to 2-3. Doest come to 9 or 10 at all. (Steaming milk is ok) Not sure which part I did wrong. I set grinder (gs7) to 16 which I believe it's fine. If you can let me know will be much appreciated.

Ok, so the number on the grinder is not a specific grind setting, watch the video on how to set up your grinder. You need to go finer, are you using our beans? If not they could be aged and not helping. If you get stuck still please email us so we can reach out by a call and get you sorted. Cheers luke

Seemed like the vibe pump was pushing water through the puck at about 12 bar (normal for a vibe, i think). Question: Is there a procedure to control the water temperature that exits onto the puck (and if so what would that be)?
@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters
@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Жыл бұрын
You can’t control the water temp that goes to the puck, the vibration pump has the adjustment as mentioned in the video, we wanted to leave it as per out of the box. It’s the expansion balance you can change

How much to you put in the steam tip when frothing the milk? Every time I try with my pippa halfway, the milk starts to have soapy texture and when the tip is fully in, the texture is staying almost the same as the milk was before, making me unable to have milk for latte art. Would appreciate your help!
@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters
@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters 5 ай бұрын
Are you purging the water out? You should only put the tip in deep enough from the top so that there is no noise or hissing. Then you lower the tip to hear the hiss which gets you the foam. Cheers luke

@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Thank you Luke for the reply! Yes I’m purging out the water before steaming but no matter the distance from the side of the jug I still get the hiss sound and. If I want to pull another shot after steaming milk, do I need to repeat the steps? Flick the switch back to 0 then flick to 1 and so on? And how long would I need to wait? Thanks so much for this video!
@ericw4377

What I do is (1) move the steam switch (bottom switch) to off, then (2) turn the top switch to 1 and then (3) turn the second switch on to run water through the group head. The water will be VERY hot since the steaming phase just finished. This also helps to clean off the group head and get rid of any coffee remnants. After running that for a bit, I switch it off. Then (4) move the top switch to position 2. The orange light should go on indicating that water is being heated back up to brew temp. Once the orange light is off, then it's ready to brew the second cup. This helps avoid running water through the puck that is way, way too hot.

You can try? It may just push the steam out too quickly. Have you watch the position we use in our video and copied it? If your trying to use a big jug it may also be hard. But we have found the steam to be great. Are you draining the water out, then Turing the tap off once all the water is out to let it build up steam again?

I have this machine and will say that I let it heat up for a lot longer than what the machine suggests, so I'll start heating it up about 5-10 minutes before I'm ready to pull the first shot. My shots have been somewhat fast and underextracted if I've pulled when the machine is supposed to be ready.
