Was awesome to watch.. Q- what material did you glue on the inside of the scabard? You did a killer job! Fun to watch an expert work. (You have impressive power tools. But, lot of hand work too.) Love how you did the tanto section of the blade. Overall great job!!

I'm curious about heat treating the steel. I assume it came pre-annealed so you could cut and shape it. Did you then harden and temper it and leave that out of the video? Or was the steel already tempered, and did you work with it in that state?
@artisticson2275
@artisticson2275 4 жыл бұрын
There was no heat treatment equipment at the time of making it, so outside specialty store did heat treatment beforehand...^^ It was a little hard to process, but I am satisfied... satisfied

Clearly a fantastic craftsman, but as a viewer, might I suggest cutting some of the footage? We don't need to see 2 hours of you polishing into 5 minutes. That's still too long. I would also suggest setting your shot up so you know everything is going to be in it, so I'm not fastforwarding through a scene because what you're doing is not in shot. As others suggested, some subtitles would be great to describe the process. Having been all critical about the video work, you are a n absolute artist. Great job.

Why at the first you used band saw and than angle grinder for the same job like cuting rough shape..? Nice project 👍 Far from real knife makers but still lots of work and efforts done. Hat down. PS As you admit weakness in music I also vote for no music 😉
