The problem was that everybody looked back at Julia's past drawings and drew ideas from them. And the thing is Julia doesn't look back, she just let's the names whisper to her ears and then proceeds to create these beautiful monstrosities each unique on its kind

@@snipperjoey1151 Your name makes me think of if Youngster Joey gave up the trainer life and became an army sniper. But he's still the same age so he is a small child with a sniper rifle twice his size. Whenever he fires he gets blown away by the recoil, but damn it he gets results! He still has his loyal rattata at his side that helps him with the sad thoughts and nightmares that plague him. I can just imagine him walking by a new recruit, who doesn't know of the legend. He goes to bully him, but someone who knows better pulls him back and shakes his head. He'll learn later on that he owes his new friend. Never mess with Youngster Joey, his rattata is in the 99th percentile. Focus Sash, Endeavor, Quick Attack. This rodent is to be feared.

So, maybe I'm naive (having not read the manga), but I saw Alita: Battle Angel last night and thought the story/elements were well put together. Less cheesy than Speed Racer, Dragon Ball, and much better animated than Fist of the North Star's live film. I want to read Alita's manga bc od the film, but I thought it was leagues above the others.

@@laurenhodges6411 I would thoroughly reccomend the manga, but do want to warn you that they thoroughly toned down the gore. They did an amazing job of sticking to the spirit of the manga, though it's a bit of a brighter world. (I however am ok with that, after all it's kind of the human way of dealing with things to try and make a good thing out of a shitty life)

If you ever need more Pokémon ideas, here are 2 I came up with while watching this episode: 1 - You all pick one of Julia's "Pokémon" and draw pre-evolutions or evolutions for them. 2 - You all pick one of Julia's "Pokémon" and try to draw them as close in style to real pokémon as you can. Like, legit try to make them fit in a Pokémon game, but still keeping Julia's design choices.

I think that if you guys do something like this again, the target artist shouldn't know about the challenge. To keep them from purposely going off their normal rails, defeating the point of "can we draw it like they might".
