Have you ever wondered where Van Gogh painted Starry Night, or what the room looked like? What did he see, and most importantly, what was going on in his mind? I went to Saint Rémy, France to get a behind-the-scenes tour of the asylum with Dr. Jean-March Boulon, a psychiatrist, author, and renowned VanGogh expert.
Then, come with me as I take you around the grounds where Van Gogh painted some of his most famous works such as Irises, moving Cypruess Trees, and even the Almond Blossoms he gave to his brother, Theo, when they had their son.
If you truly are a fan of Van Gogh's work, then you must watch this episode! You will learn so much about his life, work, and why his time in Saint Rémy was perhaps the best of his life.
If you didn't catch the first episode where I traced his life in Arles, be sure to check it out! From The Night Cafe to the Yellow House! • Who Was Van Gogh? The ...

It really was an amazing experience! I have another episode I haven’t released yet where I’m standing in the room where he died. The room hasn’t changed literally since that day. They left it exactly the way it was. It was a surreal experience as well. Thanks again for watching and the feedback!

Thoroughly enjoyed every second of this. It's one thing to read papers and books on your favorite artist, but this was almost as good as being in these places! Thank you for taking the time to make this, hope I can visit in person too some day

Me too! I appreciate it even more after standing where he painted it, and understanding what was going on mentally for him. Such an amazing work of art that he didn't think was good! Thanks for watching and the feedback!
