Today's ArtStop will discuss Sofonisba Anguissola, one of the few women to attain notoriety as a painter during the Renaissance. Come here about her, and about the boy in the great green hat.

Great talk. I wonder if any more has been found out since 2012 when this video was uploaded? The medallion certainly looks like Phrixus astride the flying ram... Thanks very much for this upload. :)

The child is very probably infante Don Fernando, Felipe´s III elder brother, Felipe´s II firstborn son with his fourth wife, Ana de Austria. The child died at the age of seven in 1578.
