Happy New Year everyone! Arguably the best Light-Heavyweight in the world today! Artur Beterbiev is a fearsome puncher with a great amateur background and underrated Boxing IQ. The absolute last thing I've yet to cover of his skill set is his relentless body attack so that's what I wanted to showcase here. How do you all think the Callum Smith fight will go down in a few weeks? I can't wait for that one and a potential Bivol fight in the near future! www.patreon.com/haNZAgod

Can't wait for this one. I've noticed Beterbiev becoming more "robotic" in the last 4 years when looking at his transition from offense-defense and back to offense. Although he was never fast, it was more difficult to see what he was doing with his feet & body position 4 years ago. Now you can kind of see everything. Callum Smith does have some good check counters (something to watch in the early rounds), but I'll still say Beterbiev breaks him down over 11/12 rounds. It may look like a mix of Beterbiev/Gvozdyk + Beterbiev/Yarde, with Beterbiev's feet having to warm up for some rounds.

haNZAgod this is killer bro, and stripping the vocals from the RATM soundtrack is very appropriate! I love the savage body shots Betyerbiev was drilling Usyk with in the amateur clips. He is the most savage champion in boxing today, he craves war and victory, and he relishes the stoppage.

He will do the same to Callum Smith; pound his body so much that it would hurt to even raise his left hand to throw the left hook. Once he's been neutralised like that, Beterbiev can just keep circling and resetting Smith and throwing looping shots over the top and aim for the exposed head because Smith's natural instinct will be to protect his torso. I predict Smith will be in flight mode from round 3 onwards.
@wecanrebuildhimblog5 ай бұрын
That bone-crushing, attritional power he has is terrifying. Every opponent ends up on the ropes, just trying to protect themselves from punishment. And he keeps coming. No showy highlight reel one-punch knockouts - just pounding people round after round. Smith could KO him early if he gets lucky - we've seen that Beterbiev is a little vulnerable. But if he's still in there after 3 rounds, then it'll be a long night for Callum. Bivol awaiting? He has waited for Artur to succumb to age before he has shown any real appetite to face him. But that is still a great fight in prospect.

@Duel19825 ай бұрын
It's interesting that you mentioned Usyk. The shot Dubois hit him with, that put him down and was called a lowblow, was landed in the same area as 75 percent of Beterbievs body shots in this video, none of which were called low. This means 1 of two things. 1. Usyk was dropped by Dubois, and it was a clean blow. Or 2. Beterbiev has been getting away with illegal beltline shots his entire career.
@hanzagod5 ай бұрын
Whether they're legal or not is up to interpretation I suppose. Many fighters get hit with these types of body shots and just keep on fighting, with Usyk there's a big reaction. I think there's a weakness there so let's see if Fury chooses to target the body or not in February!

Yarde fought hard and gassed himself out. It's just a stylistic thing. He was always going to start fast. Not everyone fights like that.
@Duel19825 ай бұрын
Ehhh. He looked vulnerable against Callum Johnson, Gvozdyk, and Deines. Too. I don't think it's an age factor. His defense is leaky. His head stays on the line and he isn't an overly rangy or large guy. Bivol will be the first one with the speed and skills to win rounds, and the durability to absorbs the onslaughts when Beterbiev does attack.

@@Boxer8998 yea that's Callum. Bivol will outbox and beat him tho. And after the fact people will claim he Aged Arthur out. But Beterbiev is a fitness freak who lives in the gym. And hasn't. Fought a high amount of pro bouts. So father time isn't exactly coming for him. He's always been beatable but hasn't faced the right opponent to do it. Callum smith will have success too. And win rounds. But inevitably does not have the boxing skills or durability to defeat Artur. But Bivol has always had the skills and durability.

He does. He lost several rounds against Gvozdyk. Deines. Browne. Yarde. And Johnson. But inevitably his strength is in his relentless attack, ability to cut the ring effectively. And outlast his opponents offense, when the opponent, more often then not can't outlast his.
