nessuno però può sapere se la parola può essere più o meno del pensiero, nessuno può sapere i veri pensieri del maestro, possiamo solo ascoltare le sue parole anche perché bisogna essere presenti dal vivo per cogliere appieno la verità nascosta, in un video si coglie sono una parte del messaggio

Divertente la quasi scarna semplicità nelle risposte di Michelangeli, del tutto consapevole che gli porranno domande e si aspetteranno risposte chissà quanto complesse; senza però ottenere nulla di più che la verità. Un uomo molto moderno sotto questo punto di vista. P.S. Per caso qualcuno saprebbe dirmi il titolo del brano riprodotto all’inizio del video? Grazie infinite.

+Peter Von Berg As was his usual manner he really doesn't say very much. He (at the time of this interview) had been performing for 30 years but began teaching prior to that because he had been asked to do so. He held master classes in several different cities at that time and met Maestro Bambace in Arezzo. He states that it is sometimes quite difficult, one would think so, to manage a performing career and teach. He says that "Knowledge is a right, and to know is a right and it is not an option". Personally I find it, at least in Italian, a rather enigmatic statement but that was often his way. I'm personally well acquainted with one of his former "students". Michelangeli was, of course, one of the greatest ever pianists but the lessons, from what I know, depended often on his mood and so forth! This translation is only a synopsis of course.
