Madam /Appa , this was the video i would really appreciate, as no one speaks about such actors who have been associated with this industry for such a long time. This is one such actor who has done so many different roles, right from dancer, a very good one, in the early 70's no movie is complete without picturising a song of Aruna Irani, even directors like Raj Kapoor wanted 2 songs of her in BOBBY.

Aruna worked very hard as a background dancers and bit roles, but she craved to be like Mumtaz who broke all her B- grade films with Dara Singh and rejected for her pug nose but once Dilip Kumar acted with her, other directors followed suit! Unfortunately, Aruna didn't have it easy. Inspite an almost heroine like dances and a good role. It was when she became involved with Mehmood, he finally helped her with Bombay to Goa. Hindi films though gave her fabulous roles as character actress Gujarati films, though, fulfilled her dreams where she reigns even today.

Aruna Irani ji is an extremely underrated artist. She could be seductive, coy, sedate and charming: all in her roles at ease. She still remains my favourite dancing actress amongst all the other legendary ones of this ilk. Also, she was an underrated actress in her prime. Overall, she is an elite artist in terms of talent and consistency. I doff my hat to this superlative legend of Indian Cinema.
