Was forgotten and neglected and when he finally had power...he was abusive. Thats really human. Most people think they are good...because they never have power. He got it. And did what humans do. Tried to even the cosmic score card by abusing those around him. Then he went to hell. He was humbled and lost everything. Came back and tried to be better. But he still has that history of abuse. He didnt know how to be the hero he wanted to be. Didn't know how to make it right. So he just tried to stick to the plan that he thought made him a hero. Did it? Fuck no. But he died trying to be one. Least in his broken way.

Whatever the Russians did to him gave him a power he didn't have before and has little control over.....so nuking that building was not something that he did on purpose. The music on the radio triggered him and he seems not to realise what he was doing, as well as once it happened he has little memory of it and it also seemed to 'weaken' him momentarily!

I agree with you that Soldier Boy is a complex character who is a product of his environment. He was raised in a rough neighborhood and had a difficult childhood. He was then groomed by Vought to be their poster boy, and they gave him everything he ever wanted. As a result, he became spoiled and entitled. He was never taught the value of hard work or humility. I think it's important to remember that Soldier Boy is not evil. He's just a damaged person who has been used and manipulated by Vought. He's capable of doing good things, but he's also capable of doing bad things. He's amoral, not immoral. I think Soldier Boy's story is a cautionary tale about the dangers of power and fame. It's a story about how easy it is for people to be corrupted when they have too much of both. It's also a story about the importance of having a moral compass, even when you're surrounded by people who don't have one. I'm interested to see how Soldier Boy's story unfolds in the future. I think he has the potential to be a truly tragic figure. He could either go down a dark path and become a full-blown villain, or he could find redemption and become a better person. It will be interesting to see which path he chooses.

This is what bugs me the most, those who comment negatively on Soldier Boy seem to ignore this fact and measure him against standards of today, which of course does not fit him at all. Now its all about men being soft and feminine and all in their feelings, but losing their identities as men as a consequence. The Government made him and used him. The Russians held him prisoner and tortured him.....when he got loose of course revenge was top of his list. The new world he finds himself in is baffling for sure, but his focus was getting even, the rest he'd deal with in good time.
