Polavaram Project, is an underconstruction multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in the West Godavari District and East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh. The project has been accorded national project status by the Union Government of India.

A great initiative by you for nowing the real Information about the POLAVARAM PROJECT . As I heard some where of the this that if the project is completed there is no water scarcity for AP for nearly 80 to 90 years and also to our Backbone say ' FARMERS' for irrigation. If CB Naidu sir is in the leading CM it will definitely happens. Hope the YSRCP government will look out of this and complete it as they promised.👍

very detailed explanation.. I have seen many other videos but never understood the 'Spillway' and 'ECRF' concept . Thanks for clearing many of the doubts with this video... Expenditure of project hiked not only due to inflation, but the main reason is due to "LAND ACQUISITION, REHABILITATION AND RESETTLEMENT ACT, 2013". With this Act Government should provide higher compensation than it was supposed to pay in 2004 and rehabilitation to all the affected families.

very nice brother, the way you have explained using graphical structure simplifies the concept, i wanted to tell you one currection that project cost rises as inflation rate rises but the rate of inflation in our country never exceeded 10%, the prime factor behind the increasing estimated project cost is the new land acquisition act 2015 (The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Amendment) Bill 2015, also known as Land Bill 2015), i wish you all the best
