For anyone who wants a simpler way of parenting objects, at object level, click on the object you want to parent, then go to shelf tool and hit the points button. Then select the geo you want o parent to, click on it, hit enter, and then pick the points you want--like a point on a hand, or a head, or a foot, and hit enter. Your object should now follow that point or points around.

For anyone wondering why their velocities arent working in the pyro. In the rasterize instead of velocity, put v.

You can create the vdb export parameters in the pyro solver, might be a bit cleaner. Great tutorial as always Arvid!

I thought that glow applied directly to the footage was ill advised, that you have to just basically render the effect only and composite it over as screen.

Yea ideally, he would have made aov's and applied the glow only to the fire one.

Thank you for your tutorial, but there are some points that I don't really understand. If there are no attribute adjust float nodes in my Houdini, how can I create burn attribute? I used the pyro source node, but it seems that it can only create the attributes of fuel and temperature. I want to ask, is this different from what you did? I would appreciate any small help.

not my tool. but you can get a tonne of nuke tools from nukepedia, including that one

Sounds like your voxels are too big. Otherwise hard to say without seeing the hip file or render

Is that me or the nuke part is pretty bad, he killed all the details in the smoke with the grade node right on the beginning. Why not using a separate render pass for the fire instead of keying it ??? Sorry Arvid for being harsh.
