A lot of announcers undermine how good Sabonis was in the NBA, despite being hobbled. He was the best player on the Blazers team that came very close to winning a title. He was only able to play about 24 minutes a game, but look at his numbers per 36 as a rookie. 22 points, 12 rebounds 57% from 2 38% from 3, one of the best passing centers ever, and he was a good defensive presense inside..

River Morrison And when Sabonis first came to Portland and got x-ray'd, the doctors said he would qualify for a handicap sticker based on all his injuries. And yet he put up all-star numbers as a 32 year old rookie. That's how good he was.

He never came close to winning the title. However had he actually been drafted in 86, he may have. That team made it to the finals and 92 and took Chicago to 6 games. Add Sabonis and it’s likely a different story. Possibly several titles, who knows..

It is nice to see Arvydas Sabonis after all these years. I was a Portland Trail Blazers fan but the Jail Blazers era ruined it for me. He was the only player I can actually say I was a fan of from that era and congrats on becoming a hall of famer.

Reikia turet omeny, kad Sabui anglu tik trecia uzsienio kalba kuria jis ismoko po rusu ir ispanu. Kai tu speju be lietuviu ir anglu kitu kalbu nemoki nei zodzio. O be to Sabas jaunystej neturejo tokiu galimybiu ismokt anglu kalba kaip dabar jaunimas turi. Uz tai Sabas kalba 3 uzsienio kalbom: rusu laisvai, ispanu tikrai geriau nei angliskai ir anglu prasciausiai, kaip girdejai.
