Yes I'm skimming through your videos but LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!! Eowyn is of course a widely discussed character, unavoidable when talking about the portrayal of women in media, and I think, though she is obviously marvellous, she overshadows Arwen far too much. This is more so a plot point in the movies, as Arwen is rarely mentioned in the books, but her character struggle of the men in her life making choices FOR her and telling her that her wish is wrong is powerful and relevant to all girls and women, and she perseveres through it and lives the life she wants! Her story has a heavy focus on love, and she is traditionally feminine woman, through her own choice, and she has no less value as a character for that! Women who feel forced into those roles and escape into the life they want are also powerful characters and of no less value, but it is important we portray all kinds of retaliation against sexism, explicit or subtle, equally! In many countries, traditional sexism is still commonplace, and we shouldn't forget that and the countless women suffering in those ways. In other countries, sexism has become more subtle and ingrained into daily life, such as gaslighting and manipulation, which is so difficult to combat, especially when unintentional! Of course, in these countries, women are still raped and murdered daily, but that is a somewhat separated issue from what your video recognises in Arwen. Sorry, sorry, this was a rant, but I really appreciate your acknowledgement of this meaning behind Arwen's story, and its relation to our modern, real lives. You phrased it much more succinctly and effectively than me in your description! Of course, your editing is beautiful as always, and only adds to the emotion of the story! Great job!!
