I have both arylic 50+ pro and Auris audifi. Both are good i think both are produced same plase. Except outer shell color everything same. But need better soft then 4 stream

Acrylic s50pro + and others using Linkplay A31 Wi-Fi modules is limited by software to give out 16bit 44.1khz however the pro+ is outputting with a Ess9023 dac which is a 24bit dac. Hope this helps. 👍

I bought this Arylic streamer and ended up sending it back. The remote control did not work at all, and dealing with the customer service rep was frustrating. Also the tone coming out of it was very colored. Soundstage and imaging were good, but bass and treble were exaggerated. Using the tone controls, I could make it sound better, but bass and treble controls are blunt instruments. I would rather have a flat frequency response to begin with.

Your digital analog stand alone DAC rme is amazing for what it costs I mean made in Germany wow that streamer and that DAC are probably the best combo

Thanks for the concise review, but especially for Patricia Barber’s version of A Taste if Honey. First time I’ve heard it. Incredible. A great song to use for listening for sound separation, staging, etc.

Hallo Achim Vielen Dank für das positive Feedback, ich habe mich sehr darüber gefreut. In Bezug auf deine Frage muss ich sagen, dass ich leider kein Qobuz Abo habe. Aber, ich gehe davon aus, dass gapless playback via Qobuz nicht funktionieren wird, mit der S50 Pro+. Ich denke das, weil es bei mir mit Streaming vom Spotify, Audirvana oder direkt vom NAS auch nicht funktioniert. Ich wünsche dir noch einen schönen Abend und freundliche Grüsse, Yuri

@@achim1951 I agree. Despite of better analog sound qurality than WiiM Mini, gapless playback is also huge point for choosing newtork streamer, I should wait for another one has both affortable sound quality + gapless playback under 200$. Thanks for nice review. it was very helpful to me.

Hi Flip I sold my BM5 MKIIIs because I got a KEF LS50 WII system, but after a while I really missed the Dynaudio sound and wanted to buy the same monitors again. Then I got a great deal on a new pair of LYD 7s. However, if I had not temporarily switched to the KEFs, I would still be using the BM5MKIIIs and I would not recommend the upgrade, unless you prefer the new look of the LYD 7s. hello, I would be very grateful to you for your advice. I have a good external DAC in my system and I am looking for a device that will be a good streamer for Spotify and tidal. When using the digital output for an external Dac, will there be a difference in sound quality between the wiim mini and the Bluesound Node 2i? Or maybe s50 pro?

Hello Mateusz, In my opinion, when using an external DAC, there is not a huge difference between the WiiM Mini and the S50 Pro+. Over the analog outputs, I like the S50 Pro+ better than the WiiM Mini. As for software, they are very similar, but I prefer a hardwired connection to my network, and only the S50 Pro+ offers that option. The Bluesound NODE, to my ears at least, sounds a bit better via its digital output and a lot better over its analog outputs, I also find the software more advanced. Still, it is double the price of the S50 Pro+ and that might not be worth it for everybody. Withe both the WiiM Mini and the S50 Pro+, you get an excellent streamer, for a very moderate price.

Hello and thank you for the great content! The main advantage i read about Wiim Mini is the Spotify and Tidal Connect, where i am not obliged to use its 4Stream app, but directly stream thought the regular Tidal app for example. Does it work properly ? I am aware s50pro has only Spotify connect. I own Arylic s10 which do not support Tidal connect and this was a huge disappointment for me, so i plan to buy Wiim now. Could you please advise?

Decided to switch to dinaudio? kef ls50w2 became not interesting)))) and rightly so. Kef's high frequencies are bad ! =)

Sure, you should be able to connect to the network with multiple devices simultaneously

No, the USB Port is no output. But if your active speakers have a built-in dac, you can use the optical- or the coaxial output.

Arylic S50 Pro What is the latest firmware? it is with me 4.6.415145.35 from 2022 .04 .27 The update was supposed to be every six months. Volume increases every five points 0-5-10-15-20... it should be every single point 0-1-2-3-4-5... How to fix it? Is it possible to add radio stations that are on the Internet but not on the device?
