Regarding military operation in KPK There are similarities with East Pakistan situation in 1971. In both situations all political parties belonging to local provinces were against military operation. If and when army moves in without their consent the perception will develop in the indigenous population that they are being attacked and people will be alienated. Also it is worth reflecting on the outcome of operation in East Pakistan. Do NOT repeat the same mistake.
