All the songs sung by Lata Mangeskarji and Mohammed Rafiji in their unforgettable melodious voice still continue to carve out such a great place for themselves in every human-heart that they will surely be sonorously immortal in every component of theirs!It occurs to me that in this millennium a second self of Lataji will never be born!The year 1965,popularly known as the golden era of breeding memorable films and unforgettable melodies, was the year of production of the film,"Arzoo" and this film is the absolute manifestation of every component of cultural upheaval in all respects, including the theme of the film,the intensity of the melodies, the acting of the actors and actresses and above all their body-language!Alas!Gone is the golden decade of 60s for ever never to be back again to save us from the existing trend of fast degeneration!

The main USP of legendary music director duo Shankar Jaikishan was that all songs of their album became instantly hit,this was the rarest of rare virtues any composer could posses but they were blessed by God Grace and this particular film is a great example of it. Another USP was their compositions were so catchy and liked by masses and classes equally.in addition to that be their orchestra arrangements,creation of preludes and Interludes,use of chorus , back ground score,title songs or theme songs shankar Jaikishan were the Trend setters in all respect.shankar Jaikishan were indeed miles ahead of their contemporaries in all the department of music.unki baat hi alag thi aur unka andaz bhi juda tha rather in short I must say that the whole team of shankar Jaikishan was simply superb and genius to the core ,the music composers duo were par excellence who said to have devine touch in their composition.

While, no doubt, there is the magic of Rafi and Lata's voices with Shanker-Jaikeshen music, we must not forget the fantastic photography/videography! For a 1965 movie, the visual presentation is really outstanding, and adds charm to the magical vocals and music! And, of course, the heaven-on-earth Kashmir! My daily prayer is that I hope God guides us to an equitable solution to Kashmir, that it may become a happy home for ALL Kashmiris of all faiths!

Completely agreed. The entire fil has excellent cinematography and colour processing. Songs were picturised to bring out the poetry of lyrics and the melody of music. We see a parallel in Suraj too.

Shankar jaikishan and Lataji peaked during this film. After this film, their carrier started to go south. Scintillating music by SJ and one of the greatest songs of Lataji, Aji rooth kar. Look at the improvisation of rock n roll in the last song. WOW
