Directed by Oscar-nominated James Franco from a screenplay by James Franco and Matt Rager, AS I LAY DYING is adapted from the 1930 classic American novel by William Faulkner. The story chronicles the Bundren family as they traverse the Mississippi countryside to bring the body of their deceased mother, Addie, to her hometown for burial. Addie's husband and their five children leave the farm on a carriage with her coffin, each affected by Addie's death in a profound and different way. Their road trip to Jefferson, some forty miles away, is disrupted by every antagonistic force of nature or man: flooded rivers, injury and accident, a raging barn fire, and not least of all -- each individual character's personal turmoil and inner commotion, which threatens the fabric of the family more than any outside force.
As I Lay Dying opens in theaters October 11, 2013.

Wtf? I literally read this book and I have no idea where they are how they look so I searched this and this is exactly what I need, it's the clip that I just read in the book. Like omg, it's so hard to understand what's going on there, or it's just the bad translation from english to my native country

Thing is in English the book is already hard to follow, so I can only imagine a translation makes it even more confusing

De las 100 novelas en inglés más recomendadas por los expertos, As I lay dying, o en español Mientras agonizo, una novela dentro de las llamadas clásicas de la literatura inglesa, de William Faulkner del año 1930, se trata de la muerte y funeral de una madre campesina de Mississippi, y su postrer deseo de ser enterrada en su pueblo natal de Jefferson y sobre las peripecias del viaje en carreta por toda una agreste región y que es liderado por su esposo sus hijos e hija.James Franco hizo un película excelente a mi parecer debido a la complejidad de los caracteres personificados en la novela. Es un trabajo serio de dirección y de técnica, la que hace Franco y en la que además actúa con un elenco envidiable. Véanla se las recomiendo.

Performance is pretty swell wish more dirt was applied on Franco he looks to pristine and different from the rest of the characters.
