Being from the Akan group from Ivory Coast myself, I had tears in my eyes watching this video. Certainly, tears of sadness, because we say goodbye to President Konan Bédié, worthy Akan son of the Baoulé tribe, but also tears of joy seeing that King Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II honored his son by sending a delegation to Ivory Coast to represent him. This proves that beyond everything that may have happened in the past, we remain Akan and a family. Wherever we are, blood ties are never lost. I give thanks to God and our ancestors for uniting us so that we always remain standing and that they continue to bless the king so that he guides us with wisdom. Oseeeeiii yeeeee

I shed tears watching this! May the soul of the former president be with the ancestors. What also made me tear up is how we are still connected as a people. Asante/Baoule/Anyi and all Akans to a much larger extent seem to respect and love our shared culture. These African borders need to be removed. First, let’s start with Ghana and Ivory Coast.

Manso Nkwanta Manhemaa really getting into the swing of things. Abrokyire ababaawa na w'ab3te amamer3 ne amane3 saa no? Hw3 ne unadulterated traditional Asante dance and her mannerisms. Asante has discovered a real gem of a female traditional leader. Manso Nkwanta Manhene certainly knew what quality person he chose as Queen. I'm happy seeing the Queen thrive.

If the Asantehene himself had come, the entire Ivory Coast would turn upside down because thousands of Ghanaians would follow him and the president of Ivory Coast himself too would have no option than to come. He refers to the Asantehene as his father.

If the Asantehene wants full recognition of the Bawule people who are the descendants of Nana Abena Pokuaa, of the Oyoko-Adakor family, people will still have doubts about the territorial sovereignty of the Asanteman. Going to Ivory Coast himself with entourage could mean and tell a lot historically

@@asonabayaw100 I'm from the Nsuta Adako royal family of Adako Gyaakye (Adako Jachie), Aburaso (Asaman) and Bonkron (Nsuta). We are of the same direct lineage as Abonkusu where Abena Pokuaa hails from. It's unfortunate how Nsutahene behaves. He obviously has an issue with Abonkusu. Even installing his son as Nsuta Akyempemhene a stool which was occupied by Konan Bedie. He didn't even consult Bedie family. Even if he couldn't attend he could have sent Adako Gyaakyehene or any other of his brothers to represent him. The late Nsutahene Nana Adu Agyei Bonsafo III did never behave in such a way.

@@user-jt6sc3km5i Nsutahene should have attended or at least sent one of his brothers like Adako Gyaakyehene, Abonkusuhene etc to represent him. However, one cannot say that Kuntanasehene is a low profile ruler. He's the second highest ranked Adako state in Asante and junior brother of Nsutahene.
