After a CH B1 I use b2 3 into extended duck because it does more damage than any other combo that won’t end up in wall carry

Hey Marko can you do a video on what steve's stances are good for?

If I may just nudge myself in... dck(f3_4) is good as fuck. It can be canceled with db and offers pretty okay mixups with fc df1 and dck2, so dck is probably his best stance. It's essentially a crouchdash. However, alb(3+4) covers more space, but is less safe and has weak mixup potential due to the albd2 being seeable. It's better to alb2 or alb into db32. You could also use it to start pab pressure, and speaking of, alb is the easiest method of mobility during pab. pab(f3+4) is Steve's pressure stance, with his best low off of it, because it's dangerous to block/lowparry d1 as his mid options from pab are fucking terrifying with uf2 as a damaging launcher that goes under highs OR lows depending on what section of the move is "evading." His other launchers from pab are d2(low ch launcher), 2(homing ch launcher, also punch parry), and df2(elbow launcher, but not very damaging. recovers in pab). His weave/sway arts aren't all that useful except for a few exceptions. lwv(3) AND rwv(4) both have an unparryable(fuck Jin) shoulder into pab with a string you can finish. rwv32(I believe) is a damaging ch launcher, and lwv11 is scary wall damage and wallsplat. swy(b3_4) is just for style, and has one of his most damaging launchers, swy1, which is a high launcher on normal hit that also goes under highs. extdck(F3_4) offers mixups with exctdck+f2 and extdck2 and whatnot. flk(b3+4) is mostly used in combos or for making unsafe moves safer(qcf1, 121, etc). iflk2 is a massively good tool, as it offers spike and free followups on hit, and is 0 on block, AS WELL as long range. I must also note that rwv/lwv can be used to extend sidesteps. I think I covered most of it. Cheers.

Yo as a Steve that can do the FLK~dck 2 cancel, why not do the FLK1,FKL1,d+1 combo for max damage? Would you say that having the opponent closer on wake-up from the DCK cancel combo is better than the 7 or so extra damage in the FLK jab version?

@@varghest4641 he's talking about post screw enders : df1, 1,2 into duck 1 ender, or flicker 1,1b alb 2 ender I believe

@@egrassa1480 Ah, I see. My staple has an extra flk jab in it for 72 base damage, and I just end the combo with a Sonicfang. I guess you could get extra carry with alb enders, but obviously not a lot of time for a wall combo. So to answer the commenter's question, yeah, it CAN be better for better oki, but that's situational for setups or wall distance. Generally, the extra flk jab is a much better staple.

In his bnbs, after DCK F2 S! is there really a point to DCK cancelling afterwards? I'm always able to get my follow ups after screw regardless.
