Since you all are so supportive I want to share my strange story. I now identify as asexual because I'm 16, and anything about giving your body to someone else groses me out. That doesn't seem like love to me. My whole life loving someone meant treating them well and hanging out around someone because you love their soul. About 5 years ago I realized people were serious about sex and I was so surprised and uncomfortable. In a way, my story is having the world come out as sexual and me learning to accept it. I don't mind sexual people, I just hate it when people think everyone wants sex, and there's a context with females that that is shameful. I still have PTSD from middle school when I had a crush and people interpreted it as sexual. I've never felt so silenced in my life. Sex is getting safer these days, psychologically, not physically I mean. And I'm proud of the LGBT community for making it all more even. There's a huge disbalance in our society, in need of more diverse genders and ways to love so everyone can feel a little less weird. I live in fear everyday that people won't accept my sexuality, I even did when I didn't even know what my sexuality was. I long for a day I won't have to worry and just be happy. I just recently (with the help of my amazing boyfriend) realized I’ve been Ace all my life, and even though I don’t want that to be the main thing that defines my identity, (I would rather identify myself by the things I love, rather than my distaste for s3xual stuff) it really helps to have a word for how I feel, and to know I’m not broken or “incapable of love” as my childhood friend group assumed I was.

As an ace, specifically a demiace I want to have friends like the aces in this compilation. Due to feeling low energy more than half of the time from what's probably a combo of depression, anxiety and feeling overwhelmed from not being able to get myself to do much from adhd.... I need to get a better paying/or a 2nd parttime job to get insurance and get myself checked out for those 3... just acknowledging that seems exhausting 😫. Uhhhhh I wish to share a strange story- so embarrassingly enough I never knew lgbtq even existed til like 7th grade, even then I didn’t bother looking into it at least not until 8th grade. I went through all the labels; gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, Omnisexual, all of em- dont get me started on gender, that was a mess, I don’t really care for my gender right now(Identifying as unlabeled for gender but I enjoy masculine and nonbinary terms). But anyways, I didn’t realized asexuality was thing til maybe the beginning of my sophomore year, it was honestly a mess. I went through so many relationships because I’m a yes-man and could never say no(I’m better at it now lol) and it was always way too sexual for me, it made me so uncomfortable. After I started identifying as asexual, I still felt like I HAD to be in a relationship, so I just- kept either going back to exes or going out with friends. Obviously they all ended cause I never liked ‘em romantically and the relationships made me very uncomfortable n stuff. I already know I’m not aromantic but I am on the spectrum(lithromantic ere) So y e a, One of my closest friends(Not friends anymore) knew very well I was asexual and wasn’t really capable of telling people what I was comfortable with(I didn’t know) and they uhhhh lets just say, skin was exposed and ever since then, I’ve been extremely repulsed to human bodies and sex in general- Like I’ll joke around about wantin to adult Funtime my friends but as soon as its reciprocated, I’m like “no no get away from me-“ Uhhh I ran out of stuff to say lol, thanks for listening to this weird comment
