I feel like I've grown alongside Ash Ketchum and Pikachu, and they were part of what gave me the inspiration to pursue whatever I dream up to the very ends of my imagination. Watching Pokémon with Ash comforted me during hard times, and it is hard to say goodbye. However, we can still help him live on. If you want to make fan fiction of him, do it! If you start to daydream about one of his adventures, write it down! It is now up to us Pokémon fans to decide what Ash does next, whether it's going on a date with Serena or winning the Indigo League, or meeting Mewtwo once again. Ash and Pikachu's adventures only end with the limits of our imaginations. Tell your kids and younger siblings about Ash. Show them some of the episodes of the series. We can always let Ash live on in our hearts so long as we don't forget him. Also, be open-minded towards Liko and Roy. They may be different from Ash, but they will likely inspire the next generations as Ash and Pikachu did for us.

No, Liko shouldn't, not really. Ash was his own thing, for the people who grew up watch his adventures, Liko is for those growing up now. She shouldn't try to live up to what came before, because circumstances change (Seriously, have you seen early pokemon in recent years? Iconic, but very much shows of their eras). Liko and Roy should be their own thing, what the current generation needs them to be, inspirational (the same Ash was for us). I know that sounds slightly confusing, but it's basically this... Ash, inspired a generation, his adventures taught so much and created many beloved memories. For those of us who were part of that time, there isn't anyone who could ever hope to replace him, because they can't replicate those moments, and they shouldn't. What Liko needs to do, is to be what Ash was for us, with the new generation - even if it means slightly excluding what came before. She's not for those who were there at the beginning, she's for those here now. It's not going to be the same, but, that's the point, it doesn't and shouldn't need to be. She can never be Ash, but she can be Liko, and, hopefully, that will, eventually, mean as much to the current and coming generations, as Ash did for those who came before.

@@rusttoyoung1912 I completely agree with you, I have been a Pokémon fan since I was 7 years old, 2016/2017, I grew up with the Kalos, Alola, and Journeys Ash. As you said he inspires us, he inspired me to write books on Pokémon, kind of like a new thing of Pokémon after Liko ends. It most likely won’t go anywhere, seeing I need permission from the Pokémon company to do anything with it. If it doesn’t become a book it may work as a script or even an idea for a future character and Journey. I know this is very Far Fetched but I still want to do it just for fun. I’m going to start tonight and work on it with my friend. This has been said time and time again Legends never die

From start to the end of my era sure came faster than i anticipated and now im realizing how precious life really is. Its time for me too move on and make my buddies proud become a hero too someone who needs me, too always stand up for whats right. And be brave in the face of danger, never run away and stand my ground. Plant my feet firmly and withstand all that is thrown my way. I will never forget the lessons ash and pikachu taught me they were my best friends growing up and even at 30 im still proud too say they still are my best friends. Im sad yeah but all good things gotta end at some point. This is the Pokémon Companies way of saying its time too move on i know it hurts, but 25 years is long enough now get out the veteran trainers and broaden your horizons and see the world in a new light.

I know I'm late Gen Z (born November 2007), but I also grew up with Ash and Indigo League. The theme song for Indigo League is SO HYPE and so catchy, that it doesn't EVER leave your head. It's definitely the best children's theme songs of all time. I also grew up with Pokémon XY, XYZ, and Black and White. Ash had the best roasts in Indigo League as well, and I got most of my roasts from him. I watched Pokémon from 4-12 years old, and heard of his journey ending 7 months ago. Of course, it's sad to see our childhood friends, Ash and Pikachu, leave, but at least we have their legacy behind with us. Goodbye Ash. Gone, but never forgotten
