Ash Ketchum's final Pokémon episode has aired in Japan, revealing the series finale of this Pokémon era. During the episode, Ash returns to Pallet Town and reunites with a few familiar faces. After becoming Pokémon World Champion, he also thinks about what he wants out of life next. Does Ash Ketchum's final Pokémon episode do the franchise justice?
Ash and Pikachu's journey comes to an end in Pokémon: Aim To Be A Pokémon Master episode 11. While our heroes will continue their adventures off-screen, the Pokémon Company has announced a brand new anime that will follow new characters and stories!

“Rainbow” really is the perfect theme for an ending. Not only does it reference Ho-oh and a rainbow forming after a harsh storm, but it encapsulates all of the colors of the previous games! It’s great to see Ash finally reach his goal instead of being stuck inside some Sisyphus-style purgatory, just like Butterfree we need to let him fly away.

They should have shown Ho-Oh one last time. It was there in the very first episode so having it show up in the last would bring the entire series full circle and make it feel more complete. Still sucks that Primeape never came back but at least the loose end of Ash never fulfilling his promise to return for Pidgeot was finally wrapped up.

@@tomnorton4277 To be fair with Pigeot, in the Japanese Dub Ash was releasing him, he never promised to come back to him, that was something the english dub messed up (Until now that is)

Ho-Oh’s significance to Ash’s journey is to remind him that the world is bigger than he realizes, and that his Pokémon journey has more in store for him. -He sees Ho-Oh in the first episode, which signifies there’s more than just 151 Pokémon -He sees Ho-Oh after losing the Johto League, heading towards Hoenn. That inspires him to go to Hoenn. -After a bad loss to Brandon in the Battle Frontier, Ash sees Ho-Oh and it cheers him up and inspires him to prepare for the rematch -At the end of Pokémon Journeys, Ash and his friend Goh challenge a Lugia they both encountered in episode 1 of Journeys to a battle. After the battle Lugia lets them ride on its back, and along the way Ash sees Ho-Oh again, shortly before Ash and Goh decide to go on separate journeys. -Meaning no Ho-Oh = no new adventure/journey. just a theory tho

Ash’s journey hasn’t ended it just that we are now focusing our attention to liko and Roy now the two new protagonists that will continue the Pokemon anime ash will still be doing and continuing his adventures with new goals and dreams outside our view in the anime who know we might see him again someday if ash happens to cross paths we liko and Roy in the future

@@werty21100 FINALLY someone gets it!! Yeah Ash will totally come back in some reunion special with updates on what he has done and new Pokemon to catch and Team Rocket will be there too. Ash is walking the earth, think about it, after the story what does the player do? Go out and catch Pokemon, Ash is going to befriend all Pokemon, that's basically what the player does.

Since I watch the English dub, this is like a warning of what’s to come. Hope these episodes come out in English. I started watching Pokemon in elementary and now I’m 31, so it’s sad to see him go after so long. The anime will be like a whole new anime, even though it’s still Pokemon. Gotta say. Pokemon has always been there for me since elementary school. I watched it religiously up until the end and seeing Ash grow and persevere despite all the times he failed inspired me. Thank you Ash. You ARE the very best, like no one ever was.

It's hard to believe that one of the characters many generations grew up watching is finally leaving the spotlight. While I did love how the ending tied everything up nicely, back with the original season that started it all, I will always be sad that it's over 😭 Growing up sucks, it really does; I can't believe the end of an era is upon us, especially for all of the kids who are now all grown up 😮‍💨 thanks Ash and everybody else for all of the wonderful memories, we'll all miss you 😌☺️🥲

Same goes in real life with Tom Brady, who played in the NFL for nearly my entire life, who finally retired (as he said “for good” last month). For both the Brady era and Ash Ketchum era to end in the same year is crazy….

I love how it how they display rainbows as a sign of hope and determination in this show and It’s absolutely perfect to display it here for our final time seeing Ash and Pikachu. It’s a very fitting end for one of the best dynamic duos in all of cinema. Thank these two guys for shaping our childhoods and giving us some awesome memories.

Even though I stopped watching the series after Misty got replaced it still feel emotional that Ash's story has ended. Even though his story in my opinion should've ended a long time ago, it nice to see it get a proper conclusion. I've watch the first series when I was little and seeing the ending of Pokemon Master reminds me of the very first episode. Boy does this take me back. Thank You Ash Ketchum for the wonderful memories 😊

I was born on the month of June of 1997, around the same exact time that Pokémon appears in the US. No joke, I literally grew up with Ash and spent my entire watching Ash. I seen his highs and lows; watching him lose it every league until G7. Ash deserves the champion title, and he did so. Yet he feels like he’s still fighting for that goal (being a master), even though he is one. It comes to show that he just want to explore and see what’s new in the world. The Pokémon anime world will never be the same now and yet; I thank Ash so much for being there for all of us and to show what determination and training can do to someone who’s been wanting to be the best for 26 years. From this, I can say that Ash Ketchum is one of the most successful anime character I seen and someone that can rival the biggest of anime characters. For that, I Thank you Ash.

Ash left the same day I turned 23. And the message from this final episode fully resonated with me and possibly many others. Because it applies to real life as well. Sure, the last few years weren’t easy with the pandemic, war scares and economical issues but even then, this stuff already existed before 2020 in one way or another and guess what? We got over them just fine because we were living with optimism and positivity. We can all do the same now. Storms may last long but not forever.

I will miss ash and Pikachu‘s adventure so much. I remember when I was about seven years old when Pokémon came out, I started getting into it because it taught me about friendships and battles and the music blew me away too. I was 10 when I dressed up as ash for Halloween one year, and that was a good memory. It’s hard to believe that ash and Pikachu’s adventures are ending. I will never forget watching the adventures even if they’re not gonna be on Pokémon anymore hopefully they will make a cameo I am so proud and thankful to be a Pokémon kid growing up watching the show and I will always be a Pokémon kid. thankfully, I can watch reruns of the adventures, even if they’re not gonna be on the show anymore.🥺

I may not be following and playing the franchise as much as I used to as a kid, but I am still glad to have been a part of this era. This miniseries may not have been everything I wanted it to be as I was hoping Ash would reunite with the rest of his companions, but it was still an emotional sendoff for him and Pikachu regardless. I don't think you need to be a Pokemon World Champion to be a pokemon Master, because a Pokemon Master is determined not by the strength of their Pokemon, but by the strength of their bond with them, and there is no greater example of that than Ash. Ash and Pikachu have helped shape the childhoods of millions of people around the world, including me and my brother, and I hope Liko and Roy will continue that legacy. Ash and Pikachu's journey may be over, but I am revisiting some of my old Pokemon games that I haven't finished or even played in years before this year, and I intend to finally finish them in Ash's honour. So with that, it is time that we say goodbye to Ash and Pikachu, I don't know what's next for them or if we'll ever see them again, but this much I know. Their journey was definitely packed with nonstop action, millions of laughs, heart-pounding perils and endless excitement. together, they have encountered fantastic friends, evil enemies and have met creatures beyond their wildest imagination. And now that their story had unfolded, they have unlocked the magic and mystery of a most wondrous place. The incredible world of Pokemon.

Those who grew u with Pokémon, we’re witnessing history in the anime. Over 26 years have we seen Ash Ketchum, we thought that he could still be returning in coming anime’s, but just like anyone playing Pokémon, we all come and go, so his goodbye is like a reminder of all those who have played this game in his timeline and the new protagonists are like the new fans who are just getting into it. It’s the circle of life .

This is the type of thing that would get every pokemon fan emotional and as the most well known anime out there I haven't seen this episode but I gotta go back an rewatch the show just to be prepared it be like saying goku's journey with Dragon ball has finished now gohan has to take over honestly watching a character leave after so many years really is emotional

The last cartoon of my childhood comes to an end. It has been an incredible journey that will be missed. Didn't get a chance to see much of the Johto, Hoenn & Sinnoh seasons cuz I was busy as a kid and didn't know when it was on tv. But the past 4 regions (Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar + Kanto) have been great and was able to watch every episode since. And let's not forget the movies too, all great. Ash and the memories will never be forgotten ❤️

The Pokémon shows have been around for a long long time, so has Ash. It’s sad to see him go, but with a conclusion to a story like his, he’ll be remembered for generations to come.
